Catching up

For my post today I thought I would do a little bit of catching up on what's been happening around here.
First of all, Thanksgiving day. I don't know if I've mentioned it before or not, but we don't have a huge celebration. It's just me, Wade, and my kids for dinner. It's nice and quiet and relaxed. Mainly just lots of eating. Just because it's small doesn't mean we don't dress for the occasion though. This was a black tie affair.

You'll remember me saying that Friday after work Amanda was coming over to make me holly and jolly. She did a great job of decorating the house and Duke was an excellent supervisor.

Wade's contribution was to put the angel on the top of the tree.

I'm still curious as to why he was looking up her skirt with a flashlight.

Except for the gifts that have yet to be bought all that's left is the waiting.

Isn't it just the most wonderful time of the year.

Oh Duke. You sure do look handsome all decked out for the occasion! What a great picture. They are all great. If I were you, I'd definitely wonder about the angel/flashlight thing. But I'm sure he has a reasonable explanation.

Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year. My absolute favorite. We are done here except for gift wrapping. Finished the outdoor stuff today.

Have a terrific day. :)

Duke is adorable. We are in process of getting our tree decorated.

Sharkbytes, yes it is, Thanksgiving is at least one of those holidays that hasn't been turned into a major retail event

Sheri Duke did look handsome in his bow tie and he was feeling pretty proud of himself too. I didn't bother to ask about the flashlight just had a good laugh over it with my daughter

Sandee I do love Christmas just not all the hassle. You are so lucky being done, I'm getting slower ever year with it. We did get the outside lights up today

DK Miller yeah, he's cute and he knows it too :)

Because looking up her skirt with a lit lighter might start a fire! Now, I know you love him, but you should try to give the man more credit.

Sounds like you ended up getting a lot done. I have our tree up too. When we bought it about 5 years now it already had the lights one it. Well for the past couple of years not all the lights have worked. This year I decided to remove the lights from the tree. What a chore that ended being. It took 2 days and very sore hands to do this. I now have very bright new LED lights on the tree. I sure hope they work next year.

The tree looks beautiful. I wish my kids would decide to come over and make me holly and jolly. I would love help putting the tree up!

Nice to get back in time to see all the jolly, holly decorations, great job. I don't think I'll do much except my small artificial tree. Duke looks mighty handsome in all his finery.

I love that last post. So serene. Not at all how I'm feeling at the moment but one can dream. Did you ever figure out what he was trying to see up the Angel's skirt. Funny shot!
