Let the games begin

That's right today I'm bringing you my first installment of my Christmas morning trivia game. I'm going to be lazy creative and spread this out over several posts.
Ready or not here are the first 10 questions.
1. What legendary actor narrated the TV special "How the grinch stole Christmas"?
2. In the United States gifts are delivered by Santa Claus, who delivers them in France?
3. In Miracle on 34th Street, a department store Santa goes on trial to prove his identity. Name the department store.
4. Sugar plums still exist but are not called that anymore. What are they?
5. What do snowmen eat for breakfast?
6. Where did eggnog come from?
7. What year were electric Christmas lights first used?
8. Wassail comes from the old Norse Ves Heill which means what?
9. What is the name of Rudolph's gold digging friend?
10. With every Christmas card I write what am I dreaming of?

Answers are after the picture (Information was gathered through various sources, if there are any errors, oops, my bad)

OK, so lets see how you did
1. Boris Karloff
2. Pere Noel
3. Macy's
4. Chocolate candies with fruit preserves, cream or other sweet fillings in the middle
5. snowflakes
6. The history of eggnog starts in 17th century England. Nog is an old English word used to describe strong beer
7. 1895
8. To be of good health
9. Yukon Cornelius
10. A white Christmas

So how did you do? I think most of these were pretty easy, I only threw in a couple hard ones this time. Come back tomorrow for another installment

Some of these weren't all that easy for me though. How fun. It did make me put on my thinking cap.

Have a terrific day. :)

I did poorly. I knew # 1, 3, 9, and 10. I guess it's going to be coal for me this year.

Youch! I only got half of them. They were easy but I'm not good at trivia. I got Boris Karloff, he's one of my favorite old actors. I knew some, I guessed right on some, and others I knew but had forgotten. The ones I missed made it even more fun than the ones I got.

Sandee, yeah, I did throw in a couple of tough ones

Tahtimbo heck no, you got 4 right that deserves something

PJ I guess some of these just seam easy to me because I spent so much time writing them all out and then playing the game several times....lol

Ratty, good job. When I first came up with this game I found out all kinds of things I never knew before.

Well, it looks like coal for me. I only got 2. (I still think Yosemite Sam would have been a great name for Rudolph's friend!)

I knew the answers to 3 and 10. The rest was Greek to me. Lot of fun though :)

We watch "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" every year as a family! We like the newer version too, but the original is still our favorite!
Have a very Merry Christmas!!

I only got 4 without looking anything up. Ouch. I think I'll have to do my own so that I regain my sense of control!
