Hip Hip Hooray

Three cheers to Wade for bringing my computer back to life. Yes, that's right I'm back up and running on my pc again as of yesterday.
Last Saturday we went to Staples and bought a new hard drive. Wade put it in when we got home and went through the installation process only to find that it wouldn't recognize the disks that HP had sent.

My computer sat for a few more days with it's insides hanging out until we could get back to return the hard drive and try another one. Wednesday after work we made the exchange and he once again started the long process. By late that evening he had it all good to go.

Yesterday he hooked everything back up and most everything has been reinstalled now. I just have one more program to do. As much as I love my laptop, my pc has been with me longer and I missed it.
The only loss here was some email addresses that I had in my contacts and some websites that I had bookmarked.
Now the plans for the weekend are to do some crafting, work on getting ahead on my posts and maybe, just maybe I'll squeeze them cleaning in there somewhere.

This was supposed to post last night. I had it scheduled and I even double checked. This morning I see it is listed as a draft. GRRR

Congratulations! The puter is dead, long live the puter!

Glad you got your puter going again. You are so lucky to have someone to help you get it going again. If mine dies, I have to take it somewhere an that costs a fortune.
Have a good week end getting some stuff done.

I'm so glad your PC is fixed! You can send Wade over when something happens to mine anytime ;-)

I save my bookmarked sites and email addresses on an external drive!

WOOHOO!! Life is back to normal :)

As far as detergent goes - my hubby used to think Tide was the only one too, but I buy the groceries so I would get whatever happened to be on sale :) It's amazing how the detergents really aren't that different. If you lived a little closer - I would give you some to try. My sister-in-laws father is a mechanic and gets quite dirty too, but her mom just puts some of the detergent on the stains before putting them in the wash, lets them sit for a bit then throws everything in. She says it works really well (sorta like SHOUT).

Great! Your PC is now back! Let's celebrate! ^_^
You made a good shot of the mother board and the monitor. :D

By the way, I also had the same experience that I scheduled one post but it ended up as draft when I checked it the following day. I know how it feels. LOL

Everyone seems to be back on-line with their favorite computers - my optical drive went wonky on my MAC and rather than leave it at the repair place I just bought an external optical drive. I would hate to have to use the Windows laptop - we get so attached to a particular machine...Glad you are up and running again.

I'm glad you finally got your computer working. I hate having a computer down. And I've had the same posting problems too. I think sometimes Blogger's automatic computers likes to mess with all of us.

Glad it's up and running again. Wasn't life much less stressful without computers?

Ann said...

Poetic shutterbug. I don't know about less stressful because my pre-computer days were filled with raising my kids. It could be a toss up :)
