Another world inside my camera

Sometimes it feels like I can find a whole new world through the lens of my camera. I take pictures of anything and everything. Once I download them on to my computer I sift through and weed out the ones that are totally worthless. I get quite a few of those. Some are borderline. They aren't great on their own but combined with something else they could make for a great image. Or at the very least something that is good enough for a post.
I took a picture of my camera lens. This can be a very tricky shot to get but it's easier if you have two cameras. I added a picture that I took of the aquarium. Sort of looks like a brain sitting in there next to that lighthouse.

Cool photo Ann. I love it. The image in the lens - creative and well done!

Great idea Ann, Sometimes just by looking at the reflection of my lens, I almost believe there is another life inside there :D

That is a terrific picture. It took me a minute to figure out what it was. Then I actually read what you wrote...well, sometimes I do things backwards.
I can see the brain and a possible title for a really bad 1950's sci-fi movie: When brains go bad?
Attack of the giant brains?
The brain from outer space...
At least it's Friday :)

This is pretty cool. It's an idea I would have never thought of. I think it looks like a brain in there too.

I find your new photo technique - very disconcerting but intriguing. I have focus issues and very little depth perception or figure/ground perception so I have to focus very hard and often still can't don't know what I'm looking at unless I'm told.

This is a very cool photo tho!

I can see how two cameras would make this shot easier! I just love the creative things you come up with!

Perfectly fascinating! You put all your creativity in every craft you make and that's what I love about you and your creations. :D

I think I may need to break out the old thesaurus or something. For you are going way beyond merely showing off with stuff like that! Will you remember us little people who have drowned in the wake of your ship coming in?

Great photo and idea. You never cease to amaze us. The photography and your creativity.I agree with Fishhawk. Hoping you will not forget us in your days of stardom.

That's a cool pic. I was wondering what the squiggly stuff was ;-)

DKMiller thank you, I'm not sure how these ideas come to me but somehow they do.

Donna all you need is time and LOTS of experimenting. I suffered through a lot of frustration when I first started out because the tutorials I was following didn't make sense. Just playing around on my own and taking bits and pieces of different tutorials can make for some fascinating things in my opinion

Vanilla Seven well isn't there?...lol

Marvin why thank you very much. Glad to see you stopped by to visit.

Tahtimbo I do that all the time. The pictures always catch my attention before the text does. How about if you write the script for that story and I'll provide the pictures. :)

Ratty well since you manage to find so many interesting subjects to photograph you don't need to come up with ideas like this :)

Grace my husband has a problem with depth perception also. That could explain why he's never impressed with my pictures. He always says he likes the originals better.

Beaded tail I suppose I could have used a mirror and one camera but I didn't think of that at the time.

JuneZach why thank you, I never get tired of hearing all the wonderful compliments :)

FishHawk Why thank you, I think. If my ship ever does come in I would never dream of letting any of you drowned I would throw you all a lifesaver and Duke would pull you in. (His back is much better than mine)

Russ If I have days of stardom in my future they better hurry up and get here because I'm not getting any younger. :)

Ann you are really doing super with this photo rearranging. That is a great picture. Some day I am going to learn to do that. Do you do all this with Photoshop??? I just want to put hats on my cats. LOL, that rhymes.

That is too cool! I have barely scratched the surface of the how to's in photo editing: I think it's safe to say that you have been blessed with lots of talent in that area!

Very cool! My brain and my camera don't get along :) Maybe if I spent more time with the camera and trying to figure it out?
Have a great weekend!

Ann, you are so creative. I love the concept of a world inside a camera. This photo is so interesting. I would love to learn photo editing but I don't have the patience or the talent.

Fascinating! I love this out-of-the-box thinking!!

Marg, I use photoshop elements which is the toned down and less expensive version. I have been known to put hats on cats and dogs on blogs.

Jen I've spent LOTS of time playing with my program. I've neglected many household chores in the attempt to perfect my editing...lol

Audrey If my brain got along better with my camera I wouldn't need to do so much editing.

Leeuna patience is not one of the things I have been blessed with BUT I do love doing the editing thing so I enjoy the venture

Bossy Betty funny you should say that because I never considered myself an out of the box type of person. Maybe I'll have to rethink that :)

this took me a while to figure out...maybe I'm just tired but I couldn't quite get my head around the picture at first...when I did I realised what a cool picture you'd produced!!

allotments4you lol it's ok I have the same problem sometimes. I can look at something for the longest time wondering what the heck

Poetic shutterbug, sometimes I even amaze myself

LDH thanks, I played with it and wasn't quite sure I liked it but then decided that I did :)
