Tickled pink

Just a couple shots from out in the yard today.
I have no idea what this is. A lady who used to live across the street from me gave it to me a few years ago. This is the first time it's ever gotten any kind of flower on it so it was a very pleasant surprise when I saw it.

I've shown a picture of this one before but I liked this one so here it is again.

I don't know what it is either, but it certainly is pretty. I love pink. One of my favorite colors.

Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. :)

I've noticed the garden is starting to look really tired. Lots of funky weather this summer, so the leaves are either dried up or have a fungus on tons of plants. I'm kind of ready to start cutting things back.

Drawing on my extensive knowledge of horticulture, I would say that it is a pink flower or using the Latin name: pinkus flowerus :)

That top picture would make a lovely card!

isn't that a fun surprise? The original home owners of our house were gardeners--it is really neat to see what still pops up all of these years later.

Those sure are pretty flowers. All the flowers here are gone from all the heat and no rain. I don't know what the first one is either.
Hope you are having a blast with Amanda.
Have a great week end.

Would this be some indication of just how much Amanda has blossomed while away?

Never saw that pink one before, but the globular shape makes me think allium. Nice!

Sandee one of mine too

Sugar it was our pleasure, your barkday was fun

Lin there are things in my yard that should be thinned out but then I said that last year too

out on the prairie I googled allium and the flower does look like that but the leaves are completely different than the pictures I saw

LDH thanks and yes YEAH

Grace that one I do know what it is since I just bought it this year plus several people told me

Roschelle thank you. sometimes my eye is a little near sighted or far sighted though...lol

tahtimbo thank goodness for your expert analysis, it made me laugh

Anny I love flower shots too, they don't generally move when you try and get their picture.

junezach thank you very much

russ actually I don't think I've ever met a flower I didn't like

Philippa I agree, if only I could get my act together and work on some of those cards...lol

Nico, yes it was. That must be fun to watch and see what pops up every year

Marg so far the flowers seem to be holding up pretty good around here, we've had just enough rain to keep them going

Fishhawk, what a lovely observation, wish I would have thought of it :)

Sharkbytes that's what steve said too, but the leaves seem all wrong

donna oh me too, could look at them all day long.
