not always so observant

There are times when I notice anything and everything. And other times not so much. Something could be staring me right in the face and I wouldn't see it.
Well I noticed the fact that the living room looks so much better now that the walls are painted and the room is put back together

I noticed that Duke did an excellent job helping decorate the tree

But what I failed to notice was the significance of these pictures that Amanda sent me of her Christmas tree

Please tell me I'm not the only one who failed to notice that she was being ultra creative in photographing her ring. Now that I know it's there, it sticks right out but the first time I looked at them I didn't even see it. Maybe I was just too tired when I got that email. Yes, that's it, I was too tired. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Sorry Amanda. She did do a great job of showing off that ring though.

I looked and looked and didn't see it. Not till you mentioned it. This is getting too funny. You have the same kitchen chairs that I do. And your living room appears to be the same size and furniture arrangement, what next? Duke is beyond cute and makes me smile every time I see him.

Oh my! That ring is lovely, but it was hidden amongst all the other sparkles in the photos. Is that a surprise?? I haven't been blog hopping this week, so much has been going on. I'm afraid I might have missed something.

Oh yeah, I failed to notice it, too. But, as you said, once you pointed it out to me, I can see it easily.
Congratulations Amanda!!

Lol guess I should have put it in a different spot. I could have sworn it would have stuck out better...but I have small hands so it's a small ring so that could be it too...i'm gonna go with that ;)

Oh and one more thing...I'm VERY happy you put up the tree without me but where are the rest of the decorations??????????? I seriously cannot wait until Duke gets his Christmas present, i'm so excited! You have to send me a picture of him in it, or blog it either way I wanna see!

Love Amanda's very fun photos....I didn't notice the ring the first I looked either! : )

Um, what ring? I don't know if that will be much of a comfort to you, however. For as my wife is so very fond of pointing out on an almost MINUTELY basis, I am a man. (I wouldn't mind so much if she was just bragging about having such a manly man for a husband, but the way she says it...)

I missed the ring also. I didn't miss Duke however. He is looking good as usual.
Have a wonderful Weekend.

I looked for some significance in the ornaments, perhaps old that had been passed down. So a proposal perhaps?

Well don't feel bad because I didn't notice the ring until you pointed out that there was a ring. So, it's hard when there is some many other things to look at. That's my story and I'm sticking to it too.

Your living room looks great. Good work.

Have a terrific day. My best to handsome Duke. :)

Woof .............. hasn't Duke made a lovely job of decorating the tree? No just kidding Ann - sorry couldn't resist it!

You have made a fabulous job of the tree - I can smell the fir from here and it is obvious that it is Duke's favourite time of the year well - one of them!

You've beaten me - I haven't yet done my Cards, dressed my tree or put up one decoration ... shall have to start this weekend. :)
