Some bunny else

What a beautiful weekend we had. The temperatures actually reached the 80's yesterday. It's about time. I got to sit outside, enjoy some sunshine, see a Robin splashing in my birdbath and actually go outside without a coat. It was heaven.
Yesterday I had said that I would have some more Easter decorations to show you. Yesterday was the garden bunny and today it's some bunny else.
Another craft from ages ago. This one is showing the effects of time I'm afraid. The straw hat was painted white and it's beginning to chip off in several places. This is another one that I made LOTS of.

Several of you have asked me if I sell the things I make. I have considered it but have never gotten around to doing it. My ex mother in law used to always tell me that I should sell my crafts and I always told her that it would make it feel like a job and it wouldn't be any fun any more. But anyway, I pretty much just enjoy making things and I enjoy giving it to friends and family as gifts. Maybe some day I'll decide to start selling but for now I think I'll just keep it the way it is.

As long as you are having fun and enjoying the moment that's all it matter. Very cute bunny!

How adorable. You are so crafty. I so wish I was.

Glad you got some great weather this weekend. Sure recharges the batteries doesn't it.

You are right, if you started selling things it would become a job and that would take the fun right out of it. You are doing what you love and that makes it fun.

Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. :)

I LOVE it!!!!! I am a crafter, so I think I can make it, only one question. What are the ears and how did you make them?

I want to get the things this weekend and make these with the girls, so one other question; the cheeks, flattened out pom poms?

As your sister I would like to personally volunteer to help take some of the excess craftiness off of your hands! Lol

I think when you get a crafting bug up your but, you should do a give a way on your blog! You have tons of loyal readers that adore your stuff! <3

You certainly would have a market for your crafts if you decided to seel them, but I understand why you wouldn't want to. I feel the same way with things I enjoy.

Well Ann, You are extremely creative ---so even if you don't sell your crafts, you should continue making them and giving them to your family/friends, and to places like nursing homes, etc...

Love your Easter wreath.... Fabulous!!!
Hugs,
Betsy

Ann, this bunny is too cute! I am not sure about looking any kind of age--looks perfect to me.

Ann, I also wanted to thank you for your comment on my post. I do mean all of those words. They have spent a long time inside and just did not want to wait any longer!

That's fun! I wouldn't even know where to start...

I think your bunny looks adorable! Maybe if you don't want to sell your items you can give us tutorials on how to (try) to make them ourselves. :)

Hugs to Duke!

What a cutie!

Selling.. standing around at craft fairs, unpacking it all, re-packing most of it.. people passing by and saying lovely, but very few buying - and you lose your weekend too!
People tell me the same about selling.. and I just think ..maybe not!

All you would have to do is have Duke sitting behind a table with all of your crafts with a sign that says, Satisfaction Guaranteed By Head Inspector Duke!

That's a great bunny, Ann - brilliant idea to use the hat! I'm so glad to hear that spring has arrived in your neck of the woods at last.

I love this bunny. It has a real look to it. I think I would stick to just making these wonderful things and not worry about selling them. They sure make great presents. You could have a drawing for one or two of them. Take care.

I love those bunny ears ~ they look cuddly! :)

Another cute Bunny. I know how you feel about the craft thing. If you sell them it would feel like another job. I feel the same way about my computer work. I work on peoples computers. If I take money it is a job and I don't think I would like it as much.

My hat is OFF to you and to your some bunny. LOVE it. you are right about the selling making it a job, i tried selling framed photos and for a couple of years it was good to sell them at work, but the unfun part was ... hang a photo in a black frame white mat, and someone would say, can you take me a picture of clothes hanging on clothesline and put it in this frame? really, she did say that. could i have that in a different frame, could you change the color of the flowers to more pink. they were driving me nuts.

So cute! It is good you know yourself well enough to keep crafting fun.

cute bunny, I think my Mom had one like that many moons ago.
I feel the same way about my crafts, I just enjoy making them and giving them away.

Helen you are so right and thanks

Julie well I try any way, I remember having the hardest time finding that stuff for the ears when I was making these

Sandee oh yes, batteries are feeling much better now :)

Ginny, thanks, sent you an email with the answers :) Hope you and the girls have fun

Tanyia LOL I was thinking I wanted some of your excess craftiness.

Ratty why take the fun out of it by making it a job

betsy don't think I'll ever stop. I may take a break now and then but I'll never stop completely

Erika oh believe me I can see the flaw :_

Grace well since I had directions it was pretty easy. I can't think the stuff up myself but I can follow the directions from someone else

beaded tail I could do the tutorials. I'll have to remember that the next time I start one

Laura I guess the weathered look just makes it look more loved :)

sugar thanks good for you making mom look for the wreath

Amanda yep, I did make a bunch didn't I...lol Decided to drag all the stuff out again

Pat all that makes it sound like even more work and not all that rewarding in the end. I know that some are very successful at it but with my luck I wouldn't be one of those people

fishhawk instead of satisfaction guaranteed I think he should have a sign that says buy from mom so she can afford to buy me bacon

philippa thanks, I also used the straw hats to make snowmen at Christmas

marg thanks, and that is the plan, do what I enjoy, and share it with the people around me.

catherine I loved that big loopy stuff

russ exactly and I already have a job. I don't think I would make enough money at selling the stuff to replace the first one either

sandra thanks :) I can imagine that would have been very frustrating. I even think it's a bit rude. You either like this one or you don't right?

bossy betty and I do know myself pretty well ;)

connie thanks. This was in a craft magazine many moons ago...lol Giving the stuff away is a great way to do it if you ask me.

That really is adorable. Yea the whole mass production think, or maybe I just don't want to play today thing could make it like work!

Wow- I think you must be a very nice friend to give so many things away that you made. Good for you!

Ann said...

miawa I've done the mass production thing and near the end I always ended up hating it

out on the prairie I used to do tons of decorating like that but I'm just not into it anymore...lol

booker I believe you must be right since no boy bunny would be caught dead with a flower in his bonnet

sharkbytes the funny thing is I really don't have any friends, at least none that I hang out with. Friends at work yes and they are the ones that usually get the stuff
