Blue bird of happiness

According to Wikipedia:
The mythology of the bluebird of happiness has deep roots that go back thousands of years. Indigenous cultures across the globe hold similar myths and beliefs about the bluebird. It is a widely accepted symbol of cheerfulness, happiness, prosperity, hearth and home, good health, new births, the renewal of springtime, etc. Virtually any positive sentiments may be attached to the bluebird.

I've got a little secret to tell you. I know where you can find the bluebird of happiness.

He's at the dollar store and he only costs $5.00
Just remember you get what you pay for. I think this bluebird has been leaving some droppings around here today. When I first got home I started responding to my emails and everything was fine. Then we lost internet access. Internets finally back on but my email is acting really strange. I'm having a heck of a time reading and responding.
Before this bird drops a big goose egg on me I think I'm going to take the night off from the computer and catch up with you all over the weekend.

Around here the blue birds (jays) don't bring much happiness when they start squawking at the break of dawn! Hope your bluebird begins to bring happiness instead of droppings! It's always funny to me when something at the dollar store costs $5. We have a Dollar Tree here and everything is a dollar no matter what. Especially since we don't have sales tax!

Around here, we have black birds of happiness and they make a heck of a noise :) I like that wind chime, though. There's nothing better than laying in bed and listening to them.

I like this bluebird. I like having a few wind chimes hanging around. They're one of the few things I keep outside. I leave mine up so long that they begin to fall apart though.

That bluebird must have been doing stuff here too... I lost my follower box (again) but it is back this morning.

Just after I turned five, I was instructed by my parents to not put any holly berries (it was around Christmas time) up my nose. Well, that was like an open invitation to do so to me, and the doctor had a great laugh when I blew the stuck berry across the room before he could use the gigantic crowbar he was coming at me with.

What does that have anything to do with your Bluebird of Happiness, you ask? Well, I just remember a lot being said on Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In about the Bluebird of Happiness flying up people's noses, and I would think that it would take more than I have to blow something that big across the room before another doctor came at me with another gigantic crowbar!

I love the wind chime. It seems like a lot of people are having trouble with the Internet right now. Gives you an excuse to spend some Ann time.

I like wind chimes but have no where to hang them - if it was the $1 how come it was $5--hmmm?

Very cute- looks like you quilled it.

that's sure look like quilling. Seen lots of aluminum quilling lately. Are they in style now?

I don't know how I managed to miss your beautiful bluebird! I thought at first that you had made him by quilling and thought what a wonderful ideal ... then realised that he was made of (may be) metal ... anyway he's a cheerful looking chap. Do you hang him on the house or on a tree? Perhaps you could make him some friends and attach them to canes.

I agree with Phillippa ~ you need to quill that sweet bluebird!

That's SO cool! My first thought was that you made it - you could!!

Btw, I don't know if you saw my reply to your comment about the quilled boot, but if not, you are too funny, Ann!
