Randomness for Saturday

I trust that you are all enjoying your weekend. I have managed to cross a few things off my list of things to do.
Most of the day was eaten up by working on the pool. Duke better appreciate all that work.

Yesterday I got the following email:
Hi Ann,

I was browsing your website and saw many mentions about Westie dogs, I was curious if you might be interested in helping homeless Westie’s around the country? My name is Jeff Howard, and I work with Adopt-a-Pet.com. We help promote shelter dogs, and cats who need a loving home. Of course, naturally that means Westie’s too who are in a shelter looking for a forever home.

Now if I can direct your attention to the sidebar you will notice a rand new image. It's Duke's puplic service announcement with the link to Adopt-a-pet. Duke is all about helping those less fortunate than he is.

I managed to get photographic proof today that Duke is NOT deprived of his bacony yummies.

Still plenty of things I want to try and squeeze in to what's left of the day so that's as random as I'm going to get.

Duke is one pampered pooch, LOL! He should do well with the celebrity endorsement too!

Fantastic job, Duke. You definitely deserve some bacon yummies for doing your public duty.

What a good boy Duke is to be a spokes doggy for Adopt a pet. I'm actually looking for a tiny, long-haired Chihuahua girl for Gizzy to give him something to do besides sleep (yes, he's fixed!) but since we spend so much time indoors now as it is unbearable hot and will be for the next 5 months it would be nice if he had a little pal to follow around and watch and supervise ;-)

I wish we could have another dog. A Westie would be a good addition to the family. Glad to see Duke getting his treats. Now lets go for a swim.

That is a great idea Duke to help those doggies that need homes and help. That sure looks like some good bacon. Hope you gave Mom a big treat for fixing that pool for you. Take care.

Your Duke is a cutie. We have 2 doggies in our lives. One is a cocker spaniel whose only mission in life is to play and other is a lhasapso who enjoys lazing around the most!

I got that e-mail as well, and was going to do my Westie Wednesday on adopt a pet, but it was kindove a weird site. I asked that Jeff guy to give me more information on whether it was saving westies or just buying them. He hasn't replied. Hmmm....
