It's a start

Years ago I used to take a week's vacation the week following Thanksgiving. That was when I would get my decorating, baking, shopping, wrapping and everything Christmas related done.
Well now that the kids are grown, and I'm getting old and lazy it takes me a little bit longer to get going on things.
Sunday I did it though. I went and cut my tree down (from it's perch in the basement) and dragged it up a big hill (the basement steps) to it's place of honor in the living room.
There are no ornaments on it yet but at least it's up.

I don't know where she got it, but my mother-in-law has put up the most authentic fake Christmas tree I have ever heard of. For it even sheds plastic pine needles on the floor!

ha... you and I get our trees from the same tree farm :) I have to remember to describe the process of acquiring it as you do.

Looking pretty!

Looks very pretty! You are much farther along than we are... each year we have to coordinate getting the tree with the girls visiting... So it looks like we won't get our tree up until the 17th!! Yikes - that is a bit close for comfort!!
Enjoy! antonella :-)

It is beautiful Ann - and I love the golden caste the room has. I haven't put my ornaments on yet either.

It's already pretty! Just lay Duke under the tree with a bow and it will be perfect! :)

Beautiful. I see you do your decorating in installments too. That's exactly what I do. The tree is up and today I'll do some decorating and probably tomorrow I'll finish the decorating. It works for me.

Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. :)

Gorgeous tree, Ann... I used to swear that I'd never have a 'fake' tree---but we bought one several years ago --which already had its lights on it.. It looks alot like yours. SO pretty....

IF you had have gone out and cut that tree down, I would want to ask where you found such a perfect tree???? ha ha

Hugs,
Betsy

It looks good already, even without the ornaments. I'm still trying to decide if I want a Christmas tree this year. My ornaments and lights are all still in my old state.

I like it even without ornaments. I put mine up the weekend after Thanksgiving. I thought I'm not going to turn the lights on I'm going to see if anyone else in the house cares and turns them on. Nope they have not been on since then. Living with all boys and men this is what happens. :)
