much ado about nothing

Another Saturday and I have no plans.
But just as I was settling in to my second, or was it third, cup of coffee for the morning, a little birdie told me

You don't have time to stop and smell the flowers today. You have an important task to accomplish.

"But it's Saturday" I protested. "I should be able to sit back and relax and not worry about anything"
Just then a shaggy faced Duke appeared and reminded me that today is grooming day.
This is a picture from last year, believe me he looks worse than this. But by later this morning he will be quite handsome again.

What a difference a grooming makes! I actually prefer Raider longer and fluffier. He sort of looks like a bear. But his under fur on his legs begins to mat and that isn't so nice.

My Saturday will be filled with painting shutters, weed whacking and more weeding. Just finishing a bowl of oatmeal then out I go!

Yep, you promised him a groom. He's also my post for Awww...Mondays tomorrow. Just so you know.

Sorry I've been absent. Where we went this weekend didn't have Internet. Such freedom.

Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. :)

Now, how did that cardinal know to position himself with all those tones that would show him off so well?
