Antiques

Sunday when Amanda and I were out we stopped in an antique shop. I couldn't resist taking a picture or two while I was in there.
This display on an old dresser was quite nice.

Of course the room we were in was a little on the dark side so the lighting isn't so good on this. I knew I could make this look even better. Or shall I say my version of better.
A little texture, brighten it up a bit, add a bit of a sepia tint and lower the saturation and this is what I got.

Your version looks cool, makes me want to buy everything in there. So you didn't purchase anything?

Adding the sepia tinting most definitely made the image much more attractive to me. By the way, I looked up what sepia is, and now I know even more about what I am talking about!

...one of my favorite pastimes!!! I love browsing antique stores.

Too bad, some of the things I find in them are identical to what my mom had and threw out. [I still get flabbergasted when I see something like moms. LOL]

I'm not an "antique" loving person but you made the antiques even more antique-ier. Nice effect.

I really like what you did in that second pic! You should go show the owner and become in charge of marketing their store! Really nice Ann!

I love the texture and "antiquing"! :) Great job. But now you'd done it. Between you and Sandra I now absolutely have to find the time to learn how to add texture to photos. Great. Thanks a lot Ann. LOL. :)
