Bird Watching

I was hoping we would have the large amounts of Goldfinches that we had last year visiting our feeder. It was amazing to see dozens of them flying in and out of the tree in the front yard. No such luck but we have had a few of them.
Unfortunately I was only able to get them through the rather dirty basement window and with my point and shoot camera.

Since it's a holiday weekend here in the U.S. I've got three whole days to have fun. I have no plans at all other than to do whatever I feel like doing.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

I wish I could do as well with my photography. I have lots of birds visiting, but never can capture a decent photo. Have a great weekend.

The one in the second pictures looks like he is giving you the evil eye. I suppose birds don't like paparazzi, neither.

Are you kidding? Heck that window view doesn't look like the glass is dirty!!! You should see a dirty window. LOLOLOL

Love these images. It's like our area/yard. Last year DOZENS of hummers, this year....three that I've counted. Two females and one male.

Those finches' coloring is always so vibrant. Good job.

Wow. Even through a dirty window the pics are great. I cannot get that look without a window in the way.

These are good enough pictures for me, and at least you didn't scare them off this way! Beautiful yellows in a divine birdie mansion! I think you should name the Rex and Scarlett, really!!

I love finches. I had 18 at my feeders the other day. It was standing room only ~ haha!

Now it's been cold and wet. I don't know where they went to. :(

We have a few gold finches this year. Just saw the hummingbird for the first time last night, of course that is because I just whipped up a batch of nectar and hung out the feeder. We have a family of bluebirds nesting in one of our bird houses. They amuse me with how they keep all the other birds away from their babies. They are crazy little birds. I love to birdwatch too!!
