Welcome July

Holy smokes, can you believe it's July already? The year is half over with. So far we haven't had very much extra hot weather. I do believe we've had more than enough rainy, cool days too.
Of course this time of year Wade and Duke always look forward to getting in some pool time. Cooler temperatures and rain means that the pool sits unused far too much.

Who do you think was the first one to start pool season off this year? Yep, you got it. It was Duke. It was the first really nice day after the pool was ready and Wade was blowing up the rafts. Apparently Duke couldn't stand the wait. He ran up on the deck and the next thing you know I hear a splash and see Duke swimming for the ladder.

Same here - we're still waiting for those lazy summer days.
Duke really loves the pool, I can see that :)

I think I've mentioned this before, but Duke reminds me so much of my granddog, Beemer! Beemer LOVES water...of any kind!! His favorite way to spend the day is in the pool or in the lake!! Must be a terrier thing!

Happy July, Ann!
Oh this is so precious. Our dogs liked the pool too. I'll send over some heat to you, please send us rain :)

Have a great week!

You're so lucky to have a pool, mind you having said that, living in the UK we really don't have much need of one, unless of course it is indoors and heated!!

I'm glad that Duke got to enjoy a little of the pool. We haven't used ours yet either. What is with this weather?

You go Duke!!! It's always cool to be the first in anything!! And the ducks at the lake you pass by while going to the grocery store, Ann, are great photos. I can almost hear mama duck clacking in her throat, warning her ducklings!!

That looks so inviting..... Does Duke enjoy being IN the water --or just on top????? Some dogs love water and some don't...

Methinks you should start shooting videos and put up Duke Watch episodes on YouTube.
