Dirt road detours

When roads close you have to take a detour. The thing is, the official detours are always way out of the way. It helps to know the back roads.

While the scenery on those dirt roads can be nice...

...It's kind of rough on the car.

I had my boss yell at me one day about how dirty the car was. I told him as soon as the road opened back up I would wash it.

You could hose it off, or pray for rain but then again why would your boss care if your car was dirty - sheesh

Well, is how clean your car is in your job description? I didn't think so.

Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. :)

Haha! The scenery is beautiful! The sky looks a little scary. We no longer have dirt roads in my area although I remember them when I was young.

I love back roads coz the thing is we pretty much live on one! And my car looks like this every day because of the farming going on and such with our wet weather.

That's funny that your boss noticed your dirty car! The scenery was sure worth it though!

Back roads are the best! And what a perfect opportunity to make sure the wipers work well!

That's a beautiful tree-lined road! Great pictures too. Maybe it will rain and wash some of that gook off!

Those dirt roads will get you every time... Do you think it'll rain this weekend? You can always leave it outside in the rain, that's always an option, lol.
Hugs, antonella :-)

Nah, your boss was merely yelling with you.

Jim's is looking just as filthy right now. It got dirty from gravel roads down in northern GA. But back roads are the BEST for scenery (as your photos prove), and worth the dirt. And tell your boss to chill since it's your car.
