Cracked

According to Duke I would be better off going with another picture of him sleeping but instead I thought I would show you the damage to my car.

A quick glance and you think that doesn't look so bad.

A closer look shows a little more. Now granted this really isn't all that bad in comparison to what damage I've seen on other vehicles but still, this is my car that's not that old and shouldn't be looking like this.

I even took a close up of the deer fur stuck in the crack

Now here's a funny story. My car has all kinds of warning signals and the other day it started with "washer fluid level low" Ok so I'll go buy some windshield washer fluid and get it filled. I bought a jug when I went to Wal-Mart last Sunday. I had it in the trunk and forgot it was there until it kept rolling around in my trunk on Monday. Wade said he would go out and fill it for me. He comes back in and says, "Can't fill it" He said as he was pouring he saw a stream of washer fluid pouring out from under the car. The washer fluid tank is right there in the corner that got hit and apparently it has a nice hole in it. So until my car gets fixed I have to listen to that darn warning every time I start my car.

As of yet I still have not heard back from the insurance company and as far as I know, no one has come to look at my car yet. I guess I'm going to have to give them a call and ask what's up.

That's quite a crack in your car :-/

That is a great big crack!
The hassle of getting insurers to do their job is nearly worse! Hope it is fixed ASAP!

We had that happen....with a coyote on the highway. Good luck with the insurance. Our company tried to tell us 'it was an act of God'...I told them I was an atheist and they paid!!!! It boggles my mind.

I know just what you mean about when you say "it's MY car" too.

when i had my wreck i had to call Allstate 4 times just to get them to look at it and mine was totaled as it was a 3 time rollover in SUV... we had to battle and i had to get mad and bob ended up going to the office and parking his loud self in a chair and told the woman he was not leaving until he got a check, took us a month but his trick worked.
oh no on the leak and the warning. my Kia warns of all kinds of things and drives me nuts.
your poor car and poor you dealing with getting it repaired. looks like they will have to replace that whole front panel.

Just thank goodness you weren't hurt! Cars can be fixed. Oftentimes, we can't be! Some insurance companies are better than others when it comes to the claims department. I hope it all works out for you OK!

I hate all those plastic parts on new cars. Hope it gets fixed soon.

We've had a lot of deer claims lately...I think it's because there's so many new developments going in around us.
One good thing - getting hit by a deer doesn't count against you as far as insurance rates go. Our claim adjusters are suppose to make 'same day" contact calls on all claims. I know they've been struggling because of all the bad weather. Hopefully you'll hear from someone soon...but if not, you know what they say about the 'squeaky wheel"!!

Ugh---that deer left you a mess... But--in the grand scheme of things, you are lucky since it could have been much worse. (That's what I say about our 'near-wreck' recently!)

Sorry, Ann... I hope they fix it for you soon.
Hugs,
Betsy

Ouch, you got away pretty good damage wise. Nature on PBS did a show last night on deer and I thought of you.

Yep, you got some damage there indeed including the windshield washer fluid container. It will get fixed. I'm sorry you've had this inconvenience.

Have a fabulous day. My best to my buddy Duke. ♥♥♥

I hope it is only the window washer fluid container and not something more important...As to the insurance company - time to start rattling some cages...

Buying a grey car was very wise. For the duct tape will blend right in.
