There's got to be a better way.

The other day Wade and I were sitting at the dining room table eating dinner. There's a doctors office right behind our house and there was a guy there taking care of snow removal on the sidewalks.

I could be wrong but that looks like a leaf blower to me that he's using. Sitting there watching him I couldn't help thinking that a shovel would have worked a whole lot better.

It seemed to take him a really long time to do this too. With the way the wind was blowing and then he's blowing the snow off the sidewalk I think it had to be settling back onto the sidewalk. I probably could have done those sidewalks in half the time with a good old fashioned shovel

Looks like he's wasting his time and just wanted to avoid the shovel!
Hoping it melts away sooner rather than later!

Looks to be quite haphazard a job!

We have trees each side of our long road and we get men with these ineffectual leaf blowers come along. They blow them into the kerbside and then another man comes along and collects them up. It amuses me to watch as they blow them one way and the wind blows them back, ah well, such is life...
Sometimes I feel like giving up. lol

I had to laugh. :P

That is pretty silly, and wouldn't work if the snow were heavy at all. But unique!

I thought about it the last snow that was so light. I actually had to blow off leaves caught in my drive after 50mph winds.

It's what he had, it's what he used - more fool he.

I've never shoveled snow. I've never dealt with snow at all. I'm going to keep it that way too.

Have a fabulous day. My best to Duke. ♥♥♥

Maybe he was getting paid by the hour! :)

You all need one of those snow machines up there.... As much bad weather as you get, it would be worth the money I think...

We have seen people using leaf blowers down there ---and they work if the snow is dry--and IF the wind is not blowing... Good Luck to that man!!!

Hugs,
Betsy

It is safer for the back to use a snow blower...with the wind blowing he will be out a long time.....

I think you are right but maybe he is working by the hour :) Chris growing up in Chicago, has told me a million snow stories. I'll ask him if he's ever used a leaf blower or even seen it done. Stay warm!

I shovel my sidewalks and it's much more effective than just blowing the snow around...maybe he just wanted to play outside for a bit!!
