Crafting for gift giving

When giving gifts I like to give a combination of store bought and hand made. I recently put together a gift bag for a friend who had a birthday the other day.
Two of the gifts I made for her were a raggy keychain

And this framed embroidery piece.
This was done on my embroidery machine. After letting the machine do it's thing I was trying to decide how I wanted to finish this off. I thought about using it for a candle mat or a jar wrap but decided just to frame it instead.

Wonderful gifts! I bet your friend loved them! Your machine can do that?! Wow!

you are so creative and talented. if i had the embroidery machine i could not even thread it much less make it sew... and the key chain can be used as a decoration... it could even be used as a country tree decoration i am seeing a little tree covered in these...

I can't imagine anything you may have bought could be better than these -

Handmade gifts are always far better. The giver took time and thought into what they were going to create. That's very special.

Have a fabulous day. My best to Duke. :)

I don't know which I like better, the key chain would be easy to find in your purse!

How fun! Gift baskets make the best gifts. I also like to give a little handmade something with a store bought gift or certificate.

They are great gifts, I love that you framed the embroidery, I could see it in the kitchen or in a reading nook somewhere... I know what you mean about combining store bought and handmade gifts.. I must admit, that there are some people I know I cannot give the handmade gifts to because they don't quite "get" the handmade part, lol
Hugs, Antonella :-)

I would have loved those gifts. I love when friends do hand made. I try to do hand made as much as often as well. The frame was a perfect touch !
