When pen and paper meet digital

I've been doing a lot of doodling lately. I sit in front of the tv at night and usually have paper and pen or markers near by. I often pick them up and mindlessly doodle away.

Recently I drew this face. Nothing special but I thought it was kind of cute and I took a picture of it.

Then on a cold Monday morning while I was avoiding the housework I thought I would see what I could do with it in photoshop elements.

I added a colorful gradient layer, erased parts of it from the face and the words. I think I may have added a filter or two as well but I can't be sure. Any way I rather liked it.

Great doodle and I could even see you creating a comic strip series of such characters! That would be fun!

That looks really good! Alas, I now seem incapable of retaining knowledge of how to do something unless I do it a lot. Subsequently, I cannot remember how to do something with Photoshop Elements the next time I want to do it (usually several months later) which just disencourages me from trying to do it again.

Please forgive me for not coming by for the last week or so. The first very rough draft of the new book is almost complete, and I have been spending all of my non-Arlynda time on it.
