Can you guess

OK, I took a day off from my blog and now I'm ready to post again.

Can you guess what this is?

Give up?

Those are part of my September craft project. They are the makings for owl eyes

I'll show you the whole thing another day since the two I have started aren't completely done yet. I took 1" round cardstock circles, folded them in half twice and then cut slices to fringe them. Then I covered them with clear embossing ink, sprinkled on clear embossing powder and got out the heat gun to finish them off. Then I glued them to the owl and glued on the black bead. The little bit of extra effort with the embossing ink and powder was really worth it. It made the paper more durable and the look was more impressive too.

Just for fun I decided to do a little creative editing with the above picture.

Any predictions on how many of these owls I'll be able to complete in the month of September?

Being Hootin' Anni.....of COURSE I'd love this project. They're gonna be so sweet. I'm positive. Can't wait to see the 'whole' bird. Awesome.

Let's see...a month's time...10-15 Hooters?

Well I must need my glasses as I thought it was part of your healthy eating plan and they were black olives and crackers!
The owl is really cute though and I hope you get five made!

At first I thought of olives and cheese. What a nice surprise. So cute.

I think you can make at least 10 this month.

Have a terrific day. Hugs to you and my best to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

That is terrific. I am going to guess 12 owls in total. Guess that is a lot. We can't wait to see the results either. I love owls. Have a great day.

These look complicated, since I can't tell how you are making the body of the owl, I'll say 6.

Love the owl - I'm guessing 8-10. Your artistic edit is fantastic.

How many of anything can you make before you get bored? I was never good for a lot---maybe 6 at most. Then I lose interest.

The owl eyes are very creative!

I had the beads right but I had no idea how it all connected. Love the owl, can't wait to see it completed!
