Something from the past

Today I'm going back in the past a bit and reposting something from 10/05/13. I couldn't come up with anything so I though I'll just go back to last year. Well apparently I didn't have anything to post on this date last year either so I had to go back two years. You get a special surprise since I went back that far though.

so here is the post from October 5, 2013

I guess I've been in a bit of a crocheting mood lately. Maybe it's the cooler weather that has me thinking about warm scarves and cozy blankets. Since it takes me forever to crochet a whole blanket scarves, cowls and other little projects satisfy my craving to create something quick.
After doing the infinity scarves I decided to try a pattern for a cowl. When the wind blows I like to have something extra warm around my neck to keep the chill off.
The pattern comes from Fiber Flux and is called Meringue Cowl

Instead of the yarn called for in the pattern I used what I had. I used two strands, one was Red Heart super saver and the other was a homespun yarn.
This picture cracks me up because obviously I was confused as to where the camera was. I don't know what the heck I was looking at.

While this cowl is perfect size for an adult, it should be noted that the size may not be suitable for everyone.

Sweet!! I remember this post. And thing is, I was all gung-ho to make a cowl for myself, but never got around to doing it. Go figure.

How I miss Duke. But, Gibbs is our sweet co-host now, and he's just as adorable.

Very nice picture of you and I like the cowl on you.
Most times I take pictures looking away. Or too close.

Your dog looks so cute in it.

Have a great day.

I love the size of this cowl. It's not too big or bulky. Sometimes those things just seem to take over my neck and I don't want to wear them for very long.

I miss Duke!
