November

November comes
      And November goes,
      With the last red berries
      And the first white snows.
With night coming early,
      And dawn coming late,
      And ice in the bucket
      And frost by the gate.
The fires burn
      And the kettles sing,
      And earth sinks to rest
      Until next spring.
~Elizabeth Coatsworth (1893–1986)

Now that we've moved into November that means it's time to move on to a new theme for the index cards. While I'll still be doing snarky from time to time I think that you'll be seeing quite a few with quotes and sayings relating to Thanksgiving.

Even though I have to work today I guess I am thankful and grateful that I got to sleep in an extra hour

The beauty of being retired...no clock changes for us...no schedules. LOL

I'm looking forward to your new cards.
And the poem you chose is lovely.

Happy November to you and the family!

I do MUCH better "falling back" than I do "springing forward". Enjoyed the poem and I like the card (particularly the theme). Sometimes I have to remind myself to be thankful I have a job; not always as easy as it sounds when surrounded by obnoxious teenage 'tudes all day long ;o)
