Happy Valentines Day

I'm not much for mush so you won't find any sappy sentiments on today's index card

We're not much on celebrating Valentine's around here but I do hope that whatever you choose to do you have a great day.

On a side not my father was born on Valentine's Day and he would have been 93 today.

On another side note, the other day Sharla asked if on the mornings when I don't have to set the alarm if I wake up early. Yes, I do. Normally I get up at 4:20 and on my days off I usually wake up sometime right around there. Most of the time I try and go back to sleep for a little while. The latest I ever sleep in is 6:00

That is such a great thought, that chocolate is on sale the day after Valentine's day. Have a great day Ann.

We don't 'celebrate' Valentine's Day either - we kinda used to since my husband asked me to marry him on Valentine's Day and since we don't celebrate our wedding anniversary- but there is more to love and romance than candy and flowers. Tho I wouldn't mind some candy, to be honest.

We do cards here and that's it. We are going to have BBQ baby back ribs tonight for dinner. One more night on the boat too.

I so remember getting up early for years after I retired. I'm finally sleeping in a bit.

Have a fabulous Valentines Day. Big hug to you and tons of scritches for Gibbs. ♥♥♥

We keep today simple as well. I've got to run and buy goodies for son and steaks for hubby. :)

I find that since we retired, I STILL get up early!! There are just too many things I'd miss out on if I slept in too late. And if I do sleep in I'm grumpier than usual.

Cute card, and now that you mention it, the chocolates WILL be half off tomorrow huh? Time to get up early again for those bargains.

Gosh, it really is too bad we're not neighbors! I'm up between 4:30-5:00 too and we're not into the mush thing either, although today was an"interesting morning"...:)JP

Glad to know I'm not the only one who gets up early when I don't need to or need an alarm! Both nights this weekend I took a sleeping pill so actually slept in until 7am and that's only because Angel decided she was starving and stepped on my head to get me up! I love hearts and all the colors of Valentine's Day so it's a holiday that makes me happy. No mush though. Good idea on the sale chocolate tomorrow!

So, you set an alarm just to have something else to gripe about?
