Feel like a slacker

While I was on vacation I tried to keep up with my fitness goals but I found it a bit difficult. I had 2 days where I didn't even make the 10,000 steps for the day. This week I'm back to work and no problem with getting the steps in but after work I'm not going out for the walks like I was doing before. The colder weather has me slowing down.

The good news is thought that I haven't been digging in to this bowl of chocolates

These were left over from some thank you gifts I made for a few of the girls at work. They have been sitting on the table for over 2 weeks now and I've been very good only occasionally having one. After all at just 42 calories each a little indulgence can't hurt. My daughter has graciously offered to assist in removing the temptation and has worked on decreasing the little goodies each time she stops over.

You're doing very well on your exercise if you ask me. You're doing way more than I am.

I'd be in that bowl often. I really would.

Have a fabulous day. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

I don't think you have to get 10,000 to feel successful in your diet and exercise. I think it is just as important to recognize the good things you ARE doing to make those small choices add up to BIG results.

Give the chocolate to your daughter. You won't miss it.

this is proof positive you do a lot of walking at work, which is a good thing. I spent 13 years sitting on my butt in front of a computer 10 hours a day. you can see the result of that in my pics so keep stepping... you are doing fantastic with the choc. it would be gone the first day here

You're doing great, Ann. So what if you don't make the 10,000, I don't some days either. My doctor says to just keep doing what your doing! The pounds will come off, but it will take time. Don't get discouraged is what he said. Age plays into a lot of this! We can do it!!!!

to get good exercise one must elevate their heart rate. There is a formula to use.I have eaten a bag of mounds and Snickers in the last 3 weeks.Having to fast to visit the heart doc today. It's killing me one way or the other. LOL

At least you get steps in at work! I sit on my butt all day and then am supposed to find the time to get in the steps. I've been doing Jazzercise on the weekdays and find I get about 7000 steps from that alone so off came the Fitbit again. Feel good about what changes you are doing and not bad for what you're not able to do. You have a lot to be proud of with everything you've done to improve your health lately no matter what that thing says at the end of the day! You're doing awesome!

Advice from the OLD PRO (who has done this for TONS of years): When on vacation ---enjoy yourself and don't go crazy --but don't 'fret' or 'stress' about getting enough exercise and/or eating something you don't usually eat.... I feel as if I work so hard at this 'staying healthy' stuff all of the time --so when we are on vacation and I'm OFF my schedule, I have given myself permission to relax and just enjoy myself... The key for me is to get back on program when the vacation is over.... Just my thoughts... You have to do what works for you. I do not think I could have candy bars on a visible table around me... Those darn things would call my name... ha ha ... SO--I'm proud of you.

Hugs,
Betsy
