It's a start

I know I've been doing a lot of whining lately about my missing mojo so today I'm going to change my tune just a bit and say I didn't do much but it's a start. I actually have 3 new things to show you but for the sake of having extra blog posts I'm only going to show them one at a time.

This is another project done on my embroidery machine. This cute little owl fits over a battery operated tealight.

Because I can't help pointing out my flaws I have to say this one is a screw up. Notice the stitching in the middle. The first row doesn't go all the way across to the other wing. That's because my needle came unthreaded and when I started it back up it didn't stitch the whole line it started where I left off. Also while making this little guy the needle fell out while it was stitching. Thankfully I was able to stop the machine quickly and get the needle back in before any damage was done.

I think he's adorable and perhaps his feathers just got a bit mussed up when he came in for a landing, I honestly never would have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out! Thank goodness you managed to get the needle back in without any harm done! Deb xo

I like this idea but I bet you were fuming when the needle came out, I've had that happen, its sods law and things like that you don't need when you're trying to get back into things do you?
I have actually got some patchwork started for a glasses purse so like you I am tring to get back there. lol

We think that Owl is just terrific and we also thing that row that doesn't go all the way across just makes him unique. Good job Ann.
