Mourning in the afternoon

After work yesterday I headed out to the back yard with my camera and spotted this mourning dove in the dreaded dead tree that sits just outside our property line. He was kind enough to sit and pose for me

Unfortunately the sun wasn't in the right spot and it's a bit dark.

In the front yard I took a picture of my neighbors bush across the street

Unfortunately I didn't like the car sitting in the driveway being in the picture.

Fortunately I have my photoshop elements to help me with that.

Both shots are lovely, Ann. The mourning dove pic has a "Halloween" look to it. The azalea sure is pretty in full bloom; such a beautiful pink. I love that you can edit the car out of the photo.

love the fence and flowers. beautiful and you could take our sweet dove into Lunapic like I did my cardinals. I put the weekly word challenge in feedly and I see it now with the word books. thanks for the input

They flowers are very pretty and even prettier without the car. You're so talented.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

I rather like mourning doves, they have a very distinctive call but at 4:30 in the morning when they seem to have extended loud conversations with each other, maybe not so much.

Don't you just love when a bird will sit there and pose for you? Sometimes I figure they are just thinking, "look at that silly human pointing that silly thing at me and they want me to just sit here and look pretty!""

I didn't even notice the car! We have mourning doves around here and I love listening to them.

I LOVE your azalea shot!! And really, I never even SAW the car till I read what you said. Then I went back and looked. It is in shadow and not noticeable. But I must say your edit is so nice, it adds beautiful texture. Well, good to see that there is a use even for dead trees. Bird perches!

The dove photo is quite moody, I like it that way!!
And your editing the car out of the pic is great. Is that azalea?
