Roller Coaster

After all those frigid temperatures and tons of snow, the past two days we've had a warm up. Alot of the snow is gone and this was the temperature when I left work yesterday.

It felt so nice to not freeze and this would be great except it's very temporary. There is already a winter storm warning in effect starting at noon today until 10 a.m. Saturday. The forecast has our high today at 51 with a low of 12. Tomorrows high is only 14. I so hate this time of  year. What I hate even more though is being on the weather roller coaster. I know it's supposed to be cold this time of year so just stay cold until it's time to warm up and move directly into spring.

It i like this here, too. Right now it is raining and in the 50's. But in a few days it will snow. A weird winter for sure.

I think we are very lucky over here with the weather. We moan when we get a dusting of snow. I wonder how much it must cost you in heating when it's so cold.

amen sista! just pick a temp and stay there for a while, this past 18 months has been a wild roller coaster for the weather patterns. 14 for a high has me shivering thinking about it... we are getting cold to but not that cold. i took today off, things to do and places to go and hubby has his final check up on his cataract surgery.

I totally agree with you Ann! Our heat bill was almost a hundred bucks more this month...due to these ridiculous temps...and we keep the house at 59 degrees overnight! Not looking forward to next month's bill either. :(

These temps all over the states the last two days have been so strange. We dropped from 59 at 3 this morning to 37 at 5:40! Ice will start once it drops more and then turning over to snow around 11 or so (or so the weather folks say). These are the days I am really glad I am retired.

Yesterday in the 50s. I see today is ice- I'll know when I head for work really soon!

59° for a high? We bottomed out at 61 for a low & 82• for a high. But that was yesterday. Today ... a whole 'nother story - it's 46 now and supposed to drop to freezing tonight. Good thing is...NO WHITE STUFF!

And the weirdness abounds here too. Up in the 60's today , high 30's yesterday, low 40's tomorrow and then the plunge back into the deep freeze. It's pouring rain here right now, and while we may get some snow next week, thankfully it won't be much (and may it continue so for the rest of the Winter season!) At least I can open the windows for just this one day *sigh*

I hate the weather roller coaster too. I hope this ride is over soon.

Have a fabulous day and weekend. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

Another gripe from me is added. I didn't rake my fall leaves completely and boy is my yard awful. I am hiding out from my neighbors.

I was grateful for the couple of warm days--they allowed for us to get our outside decorations/lights down. But, like you, we are back to frigid temps. I am not complaining yet...we still have a long way to go until spring.

Oh jeez Ann, hope it doesn't get too icy with the drop in temps, stay warm and hold on tight! Deb xo
