I can fix that.

This little guy sits out by my front porch. I've had him around for years. Just one of those cheapo dollar store things that I thought was cute at the time.
It's been so nice getting out and playing around with the camera. He was such a willing subject. Didn't even attempt to run. I liked the picture except for the fact that I wasn't sitting in the best spot to take it. I'm so dense sometimes when it comes to taking pictures. That's ok though because I'm a little more intelligent when it comes to fixing them.
Now I can see his cute face much better.

Hope you're all enjoying your weekend.

  2. Is he a bird bath? Talking of statues I popped over to a garden centre that I had never been to before the other day and I was shocked to see a life size gorilla for the garden - imagine having one of those in the garden. I suppose someone must buy those sorts of things - I wonder what type of gardener that would be though??

  3. What Marg said. I like that little guy too. Not as much as Duke though.

    Have a terrific evening. :)

  4. That is a pretty neat statue. I know that the birds who visit us on a daily basis, would love to hop all over it :)
    Have a great evening!

  6. He's so cute and isn't it wonderful to have a subject that is ready to pose at all times?

  7. Oh he is very handsome...I think I need something like this to brighten up my allotment...pity we don't have a pound shop in town :-(

  9. FishHawk is right. It does look like you washed his face. Great job as usual.

  10. Cute! And you did a good job of improving the original photo. I know that this is what you like doing. I wish I had you as a neighbour and could just say "Ann fix this photo!" I need more time to do jewellery. I sometimes wish I had a twin sister who could help me out. But if she were anything like me, she'd want me to help her instead!
    Have fun in the sun!
    Hugs,
    Anna

  14. Marg thanks, and I get lots of practice

Kloggers I think it's more of a feeder. It's not very big standing at just under 12 inches

sandee I agree that Duke is cuter but this guy sits still better...lol

Tahtimbo this guy has actually been hiding under a bush so the birds haven't seen it. I don't know how it got under there

Beaded tail thanks, I was even surprised myself I didn't know if it would come out that good

Poetic shutterbug I love subjects that sit still :)

allotments4you oh too bad. Do you have any at all there?

Vanilla seven yes he must be tired by now

Fish Hawk, nope didn't wash it

    Russ thank you very much.

Anna I wouldn't mind being your neighbor then you could teach me how to make jewelry while I fixed your pictures :)

    FishHawk, I didn't know it wasn't working?

Donna, thanks hope your day is going well too

BBoys mom yes it's the rule of thirds and until I started getting interested in photography I knew nothing about it. I have trouble with my camera though because I focus on something but when I move the camera, even with the shutter button pushed half way down, it readjusts the focus on me.

Leeuna I don't know how knowledgeable I am but i get lucky when I mess around with pictures some times :)

  17. I'm sorry for being so late. Blogger being down earlier kept me from posting this before now. Anyway, did Duke marking his territory have anything to do with this?

  18. Sugar, yep I'm a bit of a dollar store junkie :)

out on the prairie I don't have many and the one I've always wanted but never got was a gazing ball

FishHawk early or late, your visit is always welcome. So far as I know Duke has not marked this one yet.
