In search of sunrise

I was out early this morning and on my way back home the sun was coming up. Since the view of any sunrise or sunset from home is always blocked by other houses, I took the opportunity to search out  a better location. I took a little detour on a side road.
It took me all of 5 minutes out of my way but it did a world of wonder for my spirit. I took the picture and drove back home with a smile on my face. What started off as a good morning turned into a glorious one.

  5. That is a gorgeous sunrise but you were actually on your way back home as the sun was coming up? That's pretty early! When you're rewarded with seeing something so pretty it might not all be that bad!

  9. I think I like sun rise better than sunset - when I worked nights it was the last thing I saw before going to sleep...

  17. This is a great time to be part of. What a nice shot, it gets hard to find that good place without clusters of manmade stuff in your way.

  22. There is nothing like a beautiful Sunrise or Sunset. It is only better if you are watching it with a loved one sharing a bottle of wine.(Sunset)
