Grocery shopping

What do you buy when you go to the grocery store? We went last Saturday and Wade bought burger, steaks, chops and chicken.
I had something else in mind.
Now I didn't intend to buy anything but when we got there they had all their plants reduced. I've been looking for a lilac bush so I asked the girl that was working outside if they had any. It was my lucky day, they did. Even better, they had two different kinds.  I opted for this one. Nice size and only $19.99

Happy as a clam I headed into the store to find Wade. He didn't stick around and wait for me, all he could think about was "shopping, get in get what you want and get out". He is so NOT a shopper.
As I was saying I headed into the store but just before I reached the door I spotted this.

Don't you just love the colors? Want to see the whole thing? Well of course you do. Here it is
The best part about this whole shopping trip was that when I went to the register my $19.99 lilac bush rang up as $14.99. Yeah me!!!

    You got a surprise bargain - so tell me this - did you buy the welcome sign and plant as well?

    You will love your lilac bush more and more and enjoy it blooms always. Happy surprise about the price too :)

    Are those peach colored petunias? Oh, a red wine lilac, I've not heard of one that color! I wonder if it will smell the same, probably! We have a large lilac bush right outside of our kitchen door, the scent is wonderful when there's a breeze. Be sure and try to plant yours somewhere you can smell it!

    I shop like Wade. Get in, get what you need, and get out. My husband on the other hand is the shopper in this family. Oh well.

    The flowers are beautiful and you will be so happy when those lilacs start scenting your yard and your home. We have a bush next door (at the evil she devil's house) and they do smell beautiful!

    For me it's depending on what kind of shopping I am doing. If I'm grocery shopping, I did exactly what Wade did. But if I went to the craft store, I could be there for hours.

    I've never seen that color lilac before....it's beautiful! You'll love watching it grow. The bargain price makes it even better for sure!

    That petunia color is new to me as well...I defintiely would not have been able to pass by that planter! Way better than meat!

    I really hope you are not offended by this, but I would rather Wade do the shopping for me than you. For the things he gets are a whole lot better tasting, and maybe even more nutritional. Although, nutrition is not high on my list of requirements.

    Well that was a great deal. I would much rather buy flowers than groceries. But I would have bought the welcome bunch of flowers too but that probably wasn't for sale. Glad you got a discount. Have yourself a fun Thursday.

    That is great! It's nice to have a pleasant surprise like that every now and then.
    My wife is the same way this time of year, she is always coming back with a plant or two.
    I am just like Wade! I have my list; I get the stuff; I am OUT of there! Unless, it's a Home Depot or Lowe's...then, I like to take my time :)

    Lilacs are my favorite. I have one right outside of my front door. It smells sooo good when it blooms. I love to open all the windows and doors so the fragrance wafts in and all around the house.
