The perfect host

Do you remember Lola? That's my sons dog that I posted about a while back. Remember how cute she was and how much smaller than Duke?
Lola was over last Monday for the picnic we had and she's grown some

Normally I'm very careful about not showing my deck in pictures because it's really quite awful looking. However today I'm going to break away from that because the pictures of Lola and Duke playing together are just too cute not to share.

I don't know if they are kissing or telling secrets

Duke looking not quite so sure about what Lola's next move will be

These two did not stop all day long. I was constantly running around chasing after them. Duke is good about staying around when we are outside but Lola had a thing about wanting to check out the front yard. I finally ended up putting one in the house and leaving the other outside just so I could sit down for a while. Duke was exhausted by the end of the day.

  1. Awww...it's good that Duke has company once in awhile. It's good for him. I can relate to the worn our part though. Little Bit does the same thing.

Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. :)

  4. Great pictures of Duke and his buddy!!!!! Yes--Lola has grown!!!!!!

Our deck looks like yours. We made a huge mistake several years ago and had someone stain it... WELL---it started peeling ---and we have had a mess since... Don't know what to do with it --but we'll never get it stained again...

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  19. oh my, talk about a growth spurt, i can't believe she is the same dog? that first portrait of her is really truly special. your deck looks fine to me, you should see our deck. i do the same thing, crop things out.. i know people and dogs were worn out. puppies do like to wander and have sooo much vim, vigor and vitality. great post, you know i loved it, don't tell Duke he almost got bumped from top of my list. LOL.

I think your deck looks great! Building one at our house is on my to-do list for the future. We have always wanted one, but I have never gotten around to building it. Well, someday soon :)
