A Fabulous Friday

I had the day off today and I drove in to Erie (Pennsylvania) and spent some time with my daughter.
I just love the architecture of some of those old buildings.

Amanda forced me to go to Hobby Lobby.  She even encouraged my addiction when we were in the scrapbook paper section by pointing out an all season paper pack and the 50% off sign.  Would that be considered a form of elder abuse?

Like any good mother, I made sure my daughter had a good meal before taking her back home.

While we were waiting to place our order I was looking around for the restroom. Amanda pointed and said they're over there. She sent me to the kitchen. I think she was trying to pay me back for pulling out my camera in the restaurant. Again with the elder abuse. I think next time we go to lunch I'm going to insist on taking her picture with our waitress.

  1. What a big strong building with such delicate looking designs.
    Love the elder abuse. lol!
I'm very happy when someone sends me to a sundae bar, yummy!
I would definitely take the pic of your daughter and the waitress. Payback for all the elder abuse! :)
Sounds like you had a fun Friday!

  2. We don't have buildings like that here in GA. Every old building was burnt down.

I have been to Max and Erma's in Ohio - and I didn't see that Sundae Bar!

Glad you had a good time with your daughter and fed her a meal before you dropped her off home!

    Love,

  3. Glad you had a good day out with Amanda! It does appear she's bordering on elder abuse by making you go to Hobby Lobby! How awful is that? LOL Is she living in PA again or visiting from CO?

  6. I love all those old buildings too. And I also embarrass my kids with my camera as well. Hey, that's what we do best!

At least you got her a nutritional meal like lunch at a sundae bar!

And I'm trying to get the image out of my head of you kicking and screaming while she is physically dragging you into the craft store.

The things we do for our kids!

  14. Sounds like you had a great day... what a terrible thing to "force" you to face your addiction at hobby lobby - lol! You'd think by now she would be immune to the "my parents embarrass me" dilemma - just goes to show, they still have a lot to learn :-o

    Hugs, antonella :-)
