My day started off with a call from work at 6 a.m. The girl that was scheduled didn't show up so they wanted me to go in. I was only there for 2 hours though. The other girl ended up calling in and saying she got up late so she was there by 8.
Other than that I worked on some of my craft show stuff.
I made a display stand for my necklaces out of cardboard and felt. Looks pretty good I think. Wade even commented on how good it looked several times.
another look at it from the side. I should have closed up the ends somehow but I'm going to leave it as is.
I made 2 more of the plaques or whatever you want to call them.
I also finished a few other things. I'm real close to my original goal. I may not make it but I did enough to take a pretty good inventory of items with me.
Hope you all had a good weekend.
Wow---Fabulous, Ann... Glad you didn't have to work all day...
ReplyDeleteLove both of the plaques... SO neat... AND--your necklaces are awesome... I love that little birdie one!!! Cute!!!
Have a great Labor Day.
Hugs,
Betsy

ReplyDeleteWoof! Woof! Looks soooooo nice. What a clever way to create a stand out of cardboard ... Golden Thanks for the idea. When is the craft show and where did you get the chains for the necklaces? Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

The necklaces with the cords are so nice and the two on the bottom left - the flower and the bird - with the little bead at the top - Spectacular - love those
ReplyDeleteAnd the plaques - I love the home one. You're doing such great stuff - bet you sell out of everything!
I had to work also, tearing down camp and finally coming home.Love the necklaces, make sure to have 22-25 inch chains to exchange if they need.
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is WOW - absolutely gorgeous work tfs
ReplyDeleteWell, bummer that you went in, but cool that she came in later. You can look at it that you looked good for stepping up to come in and help, right? And it got you up and moving--when you could have been sleeping in. ugh.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your stuff!! When is the craft show??
You are doing great! I'm going to be really interested in how you do with these things. The display does look nice.
ReplyDeleteUgh on the early morning call from work! At least you didn't have to be there long! You made great progress on your necklaces! They look great and your stand is fabulous! I might have to make me one of those! If you put some felt on the cardboard showing, no one will know and the sides can remain open.
ReplyDeleteThey all look great, Ann. We are almost ready now!! Three day week, get together to plan it all out, and pray for no rain!!! Everyone, pray for no rain!!!
ReplyDeleteYour stand is great!! And your necklaces adorable! Happy Labor Day!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks terrific! You should be in good shape!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ... try a little tiny pot of silk flowers in the end of your display - might work.
ReplyDeleteHave fun creating!

Ann, you really are so incredibly talented. The stand is great looking and the purple pendant on the end stands out to me--it is so gorgeous! The plaques show off your talent because there is no denying all of those tiny swirls!!
ReplyDeleteThe display stand is really professional, and I love the choice of color. You have made so many beautiful things, I especially love the bird necklace!!!
ReplyDeleteThe display stand is very nice, but WOW your necklaces are so BEAUTIFUL! You are very talented Ann. Glad you didn't have to work very long. ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the display (you clever girl! ;o) I wouldn't worry about the ends; they won't show much. You have done an amazing job so far and I love those little happy hangers (I don't know what to call 'em either *laugh*).
ReplyDeleteAnn what a fantastic collection I love each and every bit you have shared!
ReplyDeleteGosh, everything looks so good. The necklaces look terrific and we like the other decorations too. You are doing so good Ann. Hugs to Duke.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope Wade was duly rewarded for his efforts (along with Duke, of course).
ReplyDeleteI love those necklaces and I think they will sell very well. That stand you made is so clever. It really shows off the necklaces.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a happy labor day! I think your projects look amazing! I think it will be really successful.
ReplyDeleteAll you have to do is get some tissue (the kind you wrap gifts with) and stuff a piece inside the holes...Yellow paper would look pretty, purple, green...you be the judge! Wa-laaaa...holes AND cardboard bottoms are covered!
