I could get used to this

I had another day off today and I'm really liking this. Today I cleaned out my car and washed Duke's nose prints off the window. I ran some errands, played on the computer A LOT, got my hair cut and did some shopping.
And Duke...

That's right, Duke napped. He found the whole thing very exhausting. Or maybe it was all that digging he did in the yard that wore him out.

    Our Little Bit does the very same thing. In fact she's upside down right now taking a snooze. Bless their hearts. He's such a cutie pie.

    Looks like have a couple of extra days off gets you moving on the chores. Good for you.

    It was probably the digging! He-he And what is the nose print stuff made of anyway - we get it on car windows too! Their nose doesn't look white!

    Don't you love an extra day off to do all those things you can't get to otherwise? Sigh. I do.

    I'm glad you're enjoying your days off! I saw your Swiss steak - do you have a recipe or do you cook like my Mom - and just make it intuitively?

    It's so much fun to have a day off during the week isn't it! I'm glad you enjoyed yours and managed to be productive too!

    Duke was just resting up since now he's got to work to get all those nose prints back on the window! We spent the day at the coast and it was an absolutely gorgeous day!

    What a darling your Duke is. My doggy companion [a cocker spaniel named Goldy]becomes all excited when anyone cleans up or arranges and ends up getting scolded for helping too much!

    It was probably applying all those nose prints properly that wore Duke out (guys gotta have a hobby, right? ;o)

    Our refrigerator quit. So, we could use a strong back and a weak mind (one often goes with the other, you know) to switch things out. Duke would be more than welcome to expand upon the holes our pups have already started in the backyard, of course.

    duke looks soft and silky and super clean to me, so he must have not been digging in dirty dirt. I see snowmen, does this mean a certain holiday is getting close? will you move them out on display or up higher?

    Duke certainly has the right idea! Now that school is in full swing, I look forward to a little time off. Normally I would get weekends off, but they both have biology and chemistry labs to do (this, on top of their other subjects, is why I have been absent for so long).
    Please tell Duke to take a nap for me :)
