Those of you who know me are probably wondering why I would dare to use the title Let it snow when I hate being cold. Well I haven't lost all my marbles and I'm certainly not inviting the snow to show up any sooner than it has to.
There is a certain white guy who depends on the snow and I'm not talking about Duke
It would be this guy. My latest craft project.
My last trip to the thrift store I found embroidery hoops and picked up a few of them. Now I'm wishing I would have bought more since they were only fifty cents each. Looking at the picture I can see I should have used some batting behind the fabric too because I can see the embroidery floss running from letter to letter on the back. Oh well, this one is just for me any way.
A close up of his face with a little creative editing thrown in.
Lots of things to do this weekend. If I don't get around today I'll catch up with you tomorrow.
Really cute! He will be a cheerful addition to your seasonal decor.

ReplyDeleteHeard on another blog yesterday about a cute stocking stuffer... Put a small container of Tic-Tacs in a card --and say that it is "Snowman Poop".... Isn't that cute?
Hugs,
Betsy
Unpick those letters Ann, and start again.

ReplyDeleteI'm not one for cold snowy days but your new snow guy would warm up anyone's heart!
ReplyDeleteThat's a cute craft Ann! Perhaps the key to not getting any snow is in asking for it....hmmm...I could be on to something.... :)

ReplyDeleteWe were out for dinner last night and I saw a bunch of snowflakes starting to fall outside the window. I freaked out! I was NOT ready for snow and it just seemed to warm for snow. Then we realized that they had a winter scene set up outside the restaurant and it was a snow machine! Whew!
Great Job - and he is cute - now you need the snow - have you had any? sandie
ReplyDeleteAccording to one of our local weatherpersons, you can expect to get your wish this year. For it is lining up for you-all get dumped on. We will get more than last year, but still be under the average of 17 inches. We just got around 3 inches last year.
