I was turning on the wi-fi on my kindle and happened to look at the other networks that were available in the area.
I found one that I've never seen before and thought it was quite interesting
I know this isn't the greatest picture but the third one down is FBI Surveillance Van. Seriously? Made me wonder.

ReplyDeleteMy husband just said that they ought to have a cover name because all the bad guys around will know now!! Not very covert! Maybe some neighbor just named themselves that for a joke.
ReplyDeleteHaving dealt with some of those covert operations...we are pretty sure it was a neighbor playing a joke!

You should see if you can tune in and see what is going on. That is nuts that it popped up on yours. Maybe someone around you works for the FBI. Interesting. Have a great week end.

i am with Wade, someone in your neighborhood named theirs that so people would not try to use it.. be afraid to hook up to it. I have mine with a password. my cable provider said if someone uses my wifi and clicks on a wurm or virus it can come through and get our computer. i found this out when the cable guy called and said someone is using your wifi and transmitting a wurm, it is coming through from you and it is not yours... he said either put a password on to protect and stop it or we will cut off your internet...
ReplyDeletesome folks have a sense of humor - someone near me named their wi-fi network "xfinity sucks" - ours is named 'ciscokid" because we have a new Cicso wireless router...
