So today I tell you what it is.
Yesterday you saw this
This is a yo-yo maker. It's the fast and easy way to make fabric yo-yos. You may even say that it's the cheater way. Either way, for me, it's an easier way to put together yo yo's. I did these with the intentions of making a garland. They are however still sitting in a pile on the table.
You can get these yo yo makers in different shapes too. Now the cute little heart yo you I would never be able to do without this nifty little gadget.
and i thought it was a pie.. i must have been hungry :D
ReplyDeleteI would never have guessed what it was, it looked like a pie crust to me. rofl
ReplyDeleteAnd the heart shaped yo-yo is really nifty!!! I can't wait to see what your finished craft will be!!!!
Hi Ann, well yet a gain I have been absent for a while , I really need to get back into blogging, the thing is I miss keeping up with everyone so I am now going to try and get on line at least three times a week to keep in touch with all my favourite blogs. These little yo yo's are great though I'm not sure I would know what to do with them so I can't wait to see your finished garland. great to catch up with your other posts too. xxx
ReplyDeletehahaa! I'm with Ann...I thought it was a pie too!! Look forward to seeing the finished product...very cool!!
ReplyDeletei had googled these and saw they use them for decorations on pillows and other things, she put buttons in the center on the short video i watched... i like the little hearts.
ReplyDeleteWoof! Woof! Saw your post yesterday and I knew it cause my mom got one too. What a great invention. Happy Friday and enjoy making fabric flowers.
ReplyDeleteOh cute! It totally looked like a pie to me too! LOL!
ReplyDeleteWishing you and Duke a very happy weekend Ann!

Um, those don't look like the yo-yos I remember, but it has been a while.
ReplyDeletethat's so cool, I would never have guessed.
ReplyDeleteI thought you meant a real yo-yo! Dah. That is how crafty I am.
ReplyDeletesandie
Wouldn't have known at all! It is a very good gadget and your yoyos will be a sweet garland.
ReplyDeleteYou've got me in the mood to get out my little circle tools and make some more yo-yos! I think you've got the makings of a great patriotic table runner there. Just a thought!
ReplyDeleteI thought so! Yours look so much better than mine :)
ReplyDeleteOh I see how you could make stuff with those...
ReplyDeleteI don't yo-yo but I DO eat pie...Any kind of pie...except mincemeat...Hahaaaa
ReplyDeletehughugs
They sure are pretty. I'd not even heard of them before, but then why would I since I'm not crafty.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day. My best to Duke. :)
I must be hungry for pie because it looks like a pie (lol) until I scrolled down. I might have to get one of this cheater thing. Love those flowers.
ReplyDeleteThose are cute but I'l still craving pie! I had some yo yo's made for me and I put a button in the center and made them into flowers. They turned out pretty darn cute if I say so myself!
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of gadgets! This one looks pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteOh, that's spiffy. I hate making anything that requires many of them to create something larger.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Ann, don't laugh but I thought that first pic was FOOD! Very interesting doo-daa, I must say!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteO.K. when you said yo yo maker, I thought od the real yo yos, the toys with the string that go up and down. I REALLY thought you were making one! I did not know this is what they call these. And I want one if you tell me how to do it!!! We have a Michael's here. Also there is a heart one, is it harder? How easy is it? Can you post a pic of the wreath? I have seen them but forget now and would like to make one if I can master this first. Have I given you a headache yet??
ReplyDeleteI thought you meant toy yo yos! lol My son still likes yo yos. :) What do you do with these?? They are pretty!
ReplyDeleteWell --how 'bout that? It does make some cute little things.... Gotta love it, Ann.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
I would have never guessed it to be a yo yo maker...could be because I never heard of one :)
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have guessed a yo yo maker. Definitely can understand how it would be helpful though.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the garland completed!
That sure is a nifty little gadget! Would you believe I made hundreds of those little yo-yo's way, way back in the early eighties using many fabrics from dresses I made for the girls and other sewing projects. I probably have about a quarter of a twin size quilt made. Do you think I will ever in this life finish this project :)
ReplyDeleteI will keep an eye out for a gadget like this and maybe even get motivated again!
Cute. I've seen them, but haven't ever made any.
