better late than never

My subject for today came from my daughter's comment on yesterdays post. She suggested that I show you what she gave me for mother's day.
Now I had every intention of doing that and I was working my way up to it. I had the pictures on the camera finally I just didn't have them on the computer yet.
If nothing else, I have passed on the crafty gene to Amanda and she put her talents to work to make me a wreath.
It's full of spring time with butterflies

a pretty little bird

and plenty of pretty flowers.

Now this procrastinating mother needs to get this from the dining room chair to the front door.

  5. Alas, craftiness can appear to be such a rush--especially at first, but one needs more and more of it to sustain the high. Then, the time comes when there is never enough, and all you are left with is a dazed and confused look on your face as your sweet little puppy scratches on your leg in the hope of getting you to fry him up some more bacon. Oh yeah, it most certainly is a very sad situation. Come on now, is this really the kind of life you want for your daughter?

  6. What a beautiful wreath! Hey, I think it's wonderful that she is so interested in your blog. My kids never read mine. My future daughter in law is the only one that keeps up with my posts.

  10. That is gorgeous, Ann... Your daughter really is crafty--like her Mom... What a wonderful Mother's Day gift. Home-made is so much better than store-bought...
