Cardinals rule

Cardinals have always been one of my favorite birds. I love their bright red color. They normally don't sit long enough for me to get any pictures of them though. Now that the bird feeder is closer to the house I've had better luck.
The one day when it was raining I happened to catch one having his lunch

    these are fantastic. i love the last shot with his wings wrapped tightly to use as a rain coat. he looks very much like mine, except for the wet feather look.. same face and markings. that little bird looks like i feel when it is raining

    These are great shots! I like the colours on him. We don't have birds like that over here, only those small little ones that almost blend in with the rest of the garden.
