Home grown

Do you know what this is?

I've seen articles in several places about how you can regrow certain things. One of them was celery. What I read told you to plant the bottom part that you cut off but I don't recall if it said to put it right in dirt or put in water.
As an experiment, the last time I cut up celery I put the bottom in a little dish of water. If I was wrong and it didn't work I wasn't out anything. To my surprise it started growing.

This from a person with 2 brown thumbs. Of course there's still plenty of time for me to kill this but it'll be interesting to see what it does.

If I keep it up I'll be just like Sandra's Bob growing all kinds of things in buckets. I could have my own backyard jungle. Well at least until winter hits.

I saw the same thing and wondered if it would grow and it does and it really looks pretty, waiting to see if it is edible. I think it said Kale and something else does the same thing but not sure. a jungle of celery stalks, can't wait to see that

As long as you remember to keep water in that dish you should do just fine.

Have a fabulous day off, Ann. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

Wow, it worked!! I am interested to see what it does. And since it is your baby now, how can you bear to eat it? Ha ha! I never knew this, it is so cool! They have discovered that celery has many more vitamins and good stuff in it than was previously thought.
