I wish I was a tidy crafter but I'm not. All it takes is one itty bitty project to turn an otherwise messy and cluttered craft room into a complete disaster area.
Monday was a crafty day. I made another card. This one is a gate fold card and it was a free file from Simply crafty SVGs I embossed the front panels but afterwards wasn't sure if I liked it or not.
The inside. I took the leaves that were cut out of the front panels and inked them up a bit and then glued them on to the inside panel.
A closer look at some of the leaves
I did something else yesterday but saving that for tomorrow.
I think your card is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the way you used the leaves for the inside of the card! They really set it off and make it special! Have fun!
ReplyDeletei love the card!!!! I love the tiny leaves inside and the bifold.. and most of all the embossing... great job....play on and forget the mess. being messy is a sign of a 'true'artist….
ReplyDeleteThis is oh so pretty! Makes me feel like 'fall' is here.
ReplyDeleteMy creative space is pretty much a disaster most of the time. ;-)

I think the craft room is messy because it is a "room" and you can walk away from it. We have a small house and I don't have a room to sew or do crafts, so I have to clean it up all the time. You are very lucky to have a craft room...mess or no mess.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the card...especially the leaves.
OK, I'll go with your theory. That way I also don't have to blame myself for being a slob....lol The only reason I have a craft room is because I took my daughters room over after she moved out.
DeleteYou should have seen my table when I was ink stamping fabric ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat card is so cute! I love how you colored those leaves!
It really can get quite crazy when you're working on a project can't it?
DeleteBeautiful..... Now make the same card using Christmas symbols/signs.... I'd love to see it too...
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
Good idea. I'll have to see if they have a file for Christmas or maybe I can do one on my own
DeleteWhat do they say about curiosity & the cat? Can't remember how that goes...I WILL come back for the other project, but for now, Ann, I think this is one of your BEST!!!
ReplyDeleteCuriosity killed the cat I'm glad you'll be back tomorrow. Sometimes I do much better when I follow a pattern rather than try and venture out on my own. This one I pretty much went with exactly the same colors as the sample card
DeleteThat is a fabulous card and the leaves came out so perfectly - just brilliantly. I am so taken by those little leaves, the colors/pattern - fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I found the perfect way to ink things like this. I dab a cotton ball in the different colored inks and then pounce it on the thing I want to color.
DeleteThe card is beautiful. You are so crafty.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
Thanks
DeleteLike how you painted those leaves, very nice!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I also had some pretty colored fingers when I got done with the leaves :)
DeleteIt is just perfect! I especially love the beautiful and rich looking embossing.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I debated on the embossing but in the end I think it really does add more character to the card
DeleteWe think the card us terrific. Very fall like. Good job. Have a great day Ann.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Now I need to move on to something wintery looking
DeleteOh my, that's fabulous! I love everything about it!
ReplyDeleteOh I love that card. Looks amazing. Me...like you am not a neat crafter which is worse these days since I did away with my craftroom. I just realized that I don't go up there, I don't craft like I used to and I started getting rid of things....but when I paint now or mess with beads (like last night) I tend to leave a mess in the living room. My biggest issue is I feel like doing something but then I don't feel like putting the stuff up! Looking at a mess now......oh crap!
ReplyDeleteI love the card!
