Another card

Presley's first birthday is coming up real soon and they are having her birthday party for her on Sunday. The child has more clothes and toys than she needs so rather than buy her anything I've decided I'll open a savings account for her.

So I won't show up empty handed I decided to make her a birthday card. Not that she will really care or know the difference but you know. The theme for her birthday is a tea party. I had some cut and print files that matched that theme.

Here is the front of the card

And I also cut the teacups for the inside. Now I just need to write something on the other side

  2. That's a wonderful gesture! My parents did the same for our kids & by the time they were adults they both had some nice savings. Irene made a down payment on a house & Erik got his Master's degree in political science.

    1. I have a highschool friend who always sends handmade cards at Christmas. I keep saying I'm going to make hers the next year and as of yet I haven't gotten around to doing it

  8. I like your idea of a savings account. My in-laws did that for my kids and the money was nice when they went to college. They would send a new pair of pajamas for the kids too...which was nice. Kids always need pajamas.

  9. Oh that is pretty and fun. (I have the same problem with my 18 month old granddaughter - she has all the material things she needs to I sent her a musical card and for a day or two it was her favorite thing!)

    1. I don't remember my kids having as much when they were that little but it sure makes it hard to know what to give for a gift

    1. I figure it's much more useful than something that will just end up in a pile of other things.

  11. The savings account is a great idea and you can contribute to it in years to come on birthdays, etc. The girl on your card is a cutie.

  13. It is very cute, and the savings account is a good idea. Something she WON'T grow out of, when all her toys become boring.
