I have a corner curio cabinet that sits in my upstairs hallway. The top half held a few birds items that I had collected over the years as well as some eggs. The bottom half was filled with snowmen. The other day when I was doing some cleaning out I decided I really don't care much for the bird stuff any more. I took all the birds and eggs out of the cabinet, cleaned up the shelves and rearranged the snowmen. Now the entire cabinet is my snow friend cabinet
The top half
And the bottom half
There's still a few more that have to go in here but they are currently out decorating other parts of the house..
That's quite a collection of smiling faces! Very needed at times --- please give yourself a hug for me.
ReplyDeleteThanks and thanks for the hug too :)
DeleteI love it! I have maybe this many snowmen, but don't see any of mine here. At Easter you can fill it with rabbits and eggs!
ReplyDeleteThis will actually stay snowmen all year long.
DeleteOh...this is a great! Jolly & festive & colorful!
ReplyDeleteGreat = treat
DeleteThanks. I've always had a soft spot for snowmen.
DeleteFabulous collection of snowmen, Ann!!
ReplyDeleteThanks. For a while, everyone was buying me snowmen for Christmas
Deletewow, I knew you collected snowmen but not how many you have. what did you do with the birds/eggs? are they going to be sold? donated? fill another cabinet? details please.. also photos of them would be nice.. I am shocked Ginny did not ask these questions.
ReplyDeleteOh those snowmen are so darn cute What a great collection. Looks like a lot of fun. Have a super nice day Ann.
ReplyDeleteThanks. There's a couple I'm not real crazy about but they're snowmen so they stay a part of the collection
DeleteWhoa - that's a boatload of snowmen but - they are delightful to see. I think I would be smiling every time I passed that cabinet. (and if you get back to major crafting and selling, the sock snowmen and penguins and mousies would have to be at the top of the list - or maybe that's just me who loves them.)
ReplyDeleteFor a while everyone was buying me snowmen and then I worked at the dollar store for a couple years and every new snowman that came in they would point out to me and tell me "you should get this one".
DeleteI would love to start making the sock guys. I took some to the last craft show but I think it was just the wrong time of year for them. I need to start working on doing Christmas ones.
Oh but Isidore isn’t really Christmas-y - Not with his hunk of cheese. But, yes, you are probably right the snow people and Percy probably say Christmas to most people. Even an elf one would fall into that category and an angel one. As much as I love Percy (and I love him a lot), it’s really Isidore who wins my heart! (Those little pink feet!)
DeleteHow fun to have a place for them year around. Love it. Way better than birds.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and weekend, Ann. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
Yeah, I sort of outgrew the bird thing. I liked them for a while but not like I do the snowmen
DeleteI used to have a bunch, but switched themes when a kid moved and took them LOL
ReplyDeleteKids are good for clearing out things in our houses...lol
DeleteWhat a delightful curio cabinet. I love your snowmen. It's quite a collection you have.
ReplyDeleteI'm here from Sandra's blog...MadSnapper...
Enjoying your post.
Thanks for stopping by. The cabinet used to be in my dining room and years ago I moved it up to the hallway. That was when the snowmen moved into it.
DeleteYou could always swap out the snowmen for the birds come spring. I do that quite often. Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteI actually think I'm just done with the whole bird thing. They just don't thrill me the way the snowmen do
DeleteI love it! Snowmen are my favorite. They are so cute.
ReplyDeleteVery cute. My mom puts out snowmen in January. I don't like winter so no snowmen for me.
ReplyDeleteChange is good especially when it's a whole display case of smiling snowmen! What a delight to see!
ReplyDeletevery cute!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a jolly crew.
