Back in the day, I wouldn't be caught dead in a hat or even with a hood up in the winter. It was all about looks and I apparently didn't think a hat looked good.
These day I could care less what it looks like. I'm dressing to stay warm
Gibbs says I'm a wimp
It looks good. Just a big wide headband. You need a warm wool cap, like the kind bank robbers wear.
ReplyDeleteI like the headband because it doesn't cover my whole head and if I want more I just flip my hood up
DeleteI wear layers too. I just don't want to fall down. I'd never get up & have to call 911.
ReplyDeleteI hear ya.
Deletethere you are, all bundled up and there Gibbs is NAKED. bad mommy.. ha ha.. thatis a pretty cool head band, have not seen one of those. I like this better than a hat because it keeps your ears warm but doesn't mash the hair down.
ReplyDeleteShould Gibb be reminded that he wears a fur coat. ^^ One of the good things about getting older is that we dress for warmth and style be damned.
ReplyDeleteI think he does need to be reminded...lol
DeleteI hate wearing a ball cap so much but it keeps the sun from my face and eyes. Sure flattens my hair though! heehee! You look cute...and warm!
ReplyDeleteGibbs has his opinion and I have mine. You're not a wimp. Tell Gibbs I said so.
ReplyDeleteKeeping warm is a very good thing.
Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
Thanks. I'll tell him
DeleteLaughed taking a tiny dog out the other day and he had a trailer down the middle of his footprints where his belly touched. I need a scarf, that wind has been bad.Wrapped my other one around some kid and it went home.
ReplyDeleteI don't wear scarves often but if it's cold enough I'll grab one
DeleteI wear a hat all the time now. Isn't it amazing how warm they are?? Why, oh why, didn't we do that before? Silly us.
ReplyDeleteIt takes age to appreciate comfort over style :)
DeleteI've always been a hat person so keeping my head warm was never a problem - so many cool hats to keep you warm and make a fashion statement (if a fashion statement is what you wanna make...LOL)
ReplyDeleteI've always been the opposite and always disliked hats. I've never thought they looked good on me.
DeleteOnce you start wearing hats, you'll love them. They keep you warm in the winter, shade our head and eyes in the summer. I have a Stetson cowboy hat that I wear in the rain, it's keeps me very dry and comfortable. Once you get used to them and like wearing them, then you can go for cutest and a touch of color:) Hats . . . there a good thing :)
ReplyDeleteWith snow up to his belly, I'm pretty sure he's saying something else. MOL!
ReplyDeleteLOL, you could be right
DeleteGood for you!
ReplyDeletecomfort over style any day
DeleteGibbs has an all over fur coat. I wear hats when outside after a brush with skin cancer. Especially in summer I wear hats and people often compliment me on the hats. So wear what you like, summer or winter.
ReplyDeletemaybe it's time for a dog coat :-) "not for you" :-)
ReplyDeleteHe does actually have a few sweaters
DeleteI'm with you. Living in Chicago for 38 years I was never one to bundle up but I know I would be doing everything I can to stay warm today!!
