A change in decor

I may not be able to redecorate my house and buy new things right now but I can do simple decor changes. One thing I change out frequently is my table. It was time to get rid of the Valentines Day stuff and even though it might be a little early, the next in line was St. Patrick's Day.

This was all stuff that I already had.

The tablecloth stayed the same I just changed the red for the green place mats. Swapped out vases and flowers then added a few other things.

A St. Patrick's day vintage picture that I printed out and framed, a green bowl with a candle and plastic cold coins and some glittery foam shamrocks to finish it off.

This is pretty much the same as I put out last year but I'm showing it again because it's all I've got.

  1. It doesn't have to be different from last year to celebrate the change of seasonal decorations. I love reading about what you are doing. :)

  3. Your green decor is refreshing. I still have hearts for decor and can't seem to come up with anything for St. Pat's Day - good thing I have until the end of the month to get rid of the hearts. My memory is so short I can't even remember what I used last year. ;(

  7. It's very pretty and it's more than I have out. We don't decorate anymore. I'm just to lazy to decorate.

Have a fabulous day and week, Ann. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

    1. I used to go all out for all the holidays but several years ago I started getting rid of a lot of it. I just got tired of all the work. I can do this though since it's small scale and still adds just a touch of something

  8. It looks great! I don't usually do the seasonal decorating. It's just too much effort for me. As I get older, I get worse...I don't want to put anything up to have to take it down again. I am curmudgeony, I guess!

    1. I thought about doing Easter but then I figured I would get tired of looking at it for that long so I thought I would stick some St Patricks day stuff out first

  10. EVeryone knows I don't do 'decor', seasonal or otherwise, but I've always admired people who do, and who do it well - very fun and pretty!

    1. I have never been very good at decorating. Some people can take a bunch of stuff and put it together to make it look fabulous. I can take the same stuff and it looks like a pile heading to the curb for trash pick up...lol

    1. I'm 1/4 Irish but don't really celebrate St. Patricks day. I suppose at least around here, it's more of a drinkers holiday

  16. yes all good-looking and having only a small entity to decorate even better...of course you could always buy some green things (edible) or paint some boxes or similar...with say "paint test pots" and then at the end, you've got something to box everything away - or even give the newly painted objects away...

  17. yeah, I like doing it on a small scale as opposed to the much larger version I used to do years ago
