What a difference a day can make. You saw what Sunday was like and today I'll tell you that Monday was nothing like it. It was cold, gray and gloomy. There was a bright side to it though.
I went to Cracker Barrel for lunch to meet up with some very old friends. These were girls that I grew up with in my neighborhood. Two are sisters that I saw a couple years ago and one more recently at the beginning of the year. The third one I hadn't seen since I married my first husband in 1982.
We had a nice lunch then I came home and napped for the rest of the afternoon.
What fun! I have actually never seen a Cracker Barrel parking lot that is not full of cars. They are wildly popular here. They must have been closed for this picture.
ReplyDeleteThere were actually a lot of cars in the parking lot but the only spaces in front of me when I took the picture were the handicapped spaces and they were not in use except for that one car.
Deleteyay for lunch out with friends and a double yay for Cracker Barrel. so glad you got out on your day off. I wish I could get bob to go to CB. that is my place I meet bloggers... 3 bloggers so far over the years. our CB is less than 2 miles away
ReplyDeleteLunch with old friends sounds wonderful!

ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of lovies to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
Hard to believe it had been so long since I had seen the one
DeleteSounds like a perfect way to spend a gray, dreary day!
ReplyDeleteyes, it was
DeleteHow awesome, nothing better than Cracker Barrel and old friends!
ReplyDeleteAlways fun to meet up with old friends.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Cracker Barrel! I need to get back there asap!!! They have fantastic salads and french toast!!! Annster's Domain
ReplyDeleteI found that it depends on which one I go to. There are two that I can choose from. The one must have horrible cooks in their kitchen but the other one is pretty good
DeleteHere in TN we don't normally wait a whole day....there are those times we have weather that equals Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter in one day! haha....great meeting up with old friends. I love that I have good friends that I grew up with and then the newer ones. Friends are a treasure.
ReplyDeleteThese three are the oldest friends I have. I didn't keep in touch with anyone I went to high school with and other than friends at work, I'm pretty much a loner. I'm so pitiful...lol
DeleteGlad you had a good day with old friends! I haven't kept in contact with friends from way back then so it's good you still keep in touch.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great day. Glad you had a good time. Have a good rest of the week.
ReplyDeletewhat does Cracker Barrel serve? It's not a brand chain we have in New Zealand...
ReplyDeleteThey have a little bit of everything. I kind of think of their menu as good old home cooking.
