It was a beautiful day yesterday. The temperature was perfect, the sun was shining and I left work with a little energy left over.
When I got home I went out to the back yard with Gibbs and we took care of cleaning up one little area that needed attention. I had a bunch of twigs and things that needed burned so I took care of that and then pulled a few weeds. Still so much to do there.
Next was inside to make some dinner and then I threw in a load of laundry. I also did a wee bit of sorting in the room that I dumped everything from my craft room into. I'm slowly working on putting back what I want and tossing what I don't.
Finally I took my camera outside and walked around the yard. I figured it was high time I did that. I'm pretty sure I take a picture of this sundial at least once every year but it's a good subject.
Around to the front yard you get a small peek into the area between my house and the front sidewalk. It used to contain lots of flowers but now it's mostly weeds that I have yet to pull.
Around the tree in my front yard there are more weeds scattered throughout the lambs ear and these pretty little flowers.
Love the sun dial....NICE. Loving the photos. I need to do that. Last yr at this time I had lots of plants and flowers that I took pics of, this yr however the garden is not getting a lot of love.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I've had the sundial for a really long time. My ex bought it years ago.
DeleteThese are really pretty little white flowers. Can you tell time by this sun dial, if you knew how? Reading all you did has made me tired, so I am going to bed!
ReplyDeleteI've never really tried to read the time on it. I'm not sure if it's real accurate. I'll have to check it out more closely
DeleteI like the sundial and its shadow.. i don't remember seeing it before, so keep on taking pics. love the weeds, love them I truly do.... sweet little flowers, all flowers are weeds to me. glad you are getting a little here and a little there done. keep on working after working... said from my chair of retirment, ha ha
ReplyDeleteThe sun dial is terrific. We like the weeds too. They are just as pretty as any flowers. Have a good weekend Ann.
ReplyDeleteI've always found it intriguing that you have a sundial! You can edit the hell out of that photo LOL Those little white bell flowers remind of lily-of-the-valley which seem to grow wild everywhere - but when I Googled, it seems the leaves are different - a quick sniff would tell the story. I'm sure someone who knows plants can say what they are.
ReplyDeleteMy ex husband bought the sundial years ago. Not quite sure why he got it other than he liked it. I'm surprised he didn't take it with him when he moved out.
DeleteI have no idea what the flowers are
I love your sundial . . . just the other day I was outside working in the yard and this thought came to me, maybe you know the answer. When did we stop seeing dandelions as pretty yellow flowers and start calling them weeds? LOL
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've been hit with a bit if spring fever. It always gives one a boost of energy. Good for you.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day off, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of lovies to Gibbs. ♥
Maybe that's what got into me. The nicer weather does make me feel a bit more energetic
DeleteLove your sundial. You've got some lovely flowers and weeds. Spring has sprung, enjoy.
