Yesterday was a mother/daughter outing to celebrate Amanda's birthday which will be on Monday. We started off with some shopping making a stop at Michaels, Hobby Lobby and then Kohls. Afterwards we went to lunch and Amanda chose a place called Sugar'n Spice.
The restaraunt is located in an old hotel
This place has quite a history
The atmosphere is wonderful, the staff is friendly and the food is sooooooo good.
Stuffed chicken breast for Amanda
Liver and onions for me
When the waitress brought our to go boxes she said "Now you can't leave here without having a piece of our pie" I couldn't resist.
I can't remember what she called it but I got the fruit one
and Amanda got chocolate peanut butter
I am drooling.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday on Monday. Make your day special!
Let me tell you it was good to the last bite
DeleteI am with Anni in the drooling, all of it looks good, i would have gone with your plate. i like it if it is cooked by someone else but can't eat it if i have to cook it myself.. same way with chicken, like it better cooked by someone else. happy sunday, hope you are busy enough to be happy but not pushed at work today
ReplyDeleteWhat fun you had! And the food looks incredible! Enjoy your Sunday my friend! Are you going to craft? Hugs!
ReplyDeleteQuilts on the ceiling !!!!
ReplyDeleteThey had quilts everywhee on the walls and ceilings. That's the first time I have ever seen a quilt on the ceiling.
DeleteIt looks to die for...sounds even better.
ReplyDeleteNeed to remember to look at this on computer!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Amanda. The place looks so charming and oh my the food looks delicious!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun outing with Amanda! Hope she has a Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteIt was fun. She took the day off work for her birthday and is going to the zoo with her neice so she should have a good day. I was supposed to go but have a training class I need to attend
Deletelooks like the perfect end to the perfect day. Way to go, Mom!!
ReplyDeleteYep, it pretty much was. :)
DeleteI'm so glad you had a great day. :)
ReplyDeleteYay for a day of shopping! The food looks amazing! And the pie - chocolate and peanut butter - my fave. :)
ReplyDeleteI Love all the quilts...knew I wanted to come back here for something and could not remember why till I got here. I wanted to see them on a bigger screen.
ReplyDeleteOhmyWord...food looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAnd I LOVE a good liver & onions meal!
hughugs
oooh, that food looks GOOD!
ReplyDeleteI am wincing at the hanging of those quilts. They are stretching them out and ruining them by not hanging them correctly--especially the ones on the ceiling. As a quilter, it drives me crazy. I once saw a family on a hand-quilted quilt ON THE BEACH. They said they found it in the beach house they were renting. I nearly flipped. I know...I'm nutty.
