Another look

I know I just showed you pictures of the Japanese iris but I looked out the window the other day and saw this and thought they were so pretty

The ones on the left side of the tree are really filling in and they look awesome this year.

The ones on the right next to the birdbath add just the right touch.

Then I have more. There are some on the left side of the steps.

And another clump on the right side of the steps.

The hosta has gotten quite big this year too.

  1. The iris is definitely worth a second look :-) Sorry I haven't been around for a while, a busy few weeks.

  3. You obviously do not suffer from slugs and snails where you are, here those Hosta's would be in shreds. lol

    1. I've always liked hosta and for the longest time couldn't get them to grow. Not sure what made these decide to thrive

  8. I wonder if Siberian and Japanese irises are the same? (Roger's mom and grandma always just called irises Flags) Whether or not they are one and the same, these sure are beautiful. I think your photos would make such a lovely painting. I love hostas too.

  12. Ann, your irises are beautiful and your hosta must love being planted right there by the rain drain. That looks like the perfect spot. It should grow huge there. Hope you are having a lovely day.
