I know I just showed you pictures of the Japanese iris but I looked out the window the other day and saw this and thought they were so pretty
The ones on the left side of the tree are really filling in and they look awesome this year.
The ones on the right next to the birdbath add just the right touch.
Then I have more. There are some on the left side of the steps.
And another clump on the right side of the steps.
The hosta has gotten quite big this year too.

The iris is definitely worth a second look :-) Sorry I haven't been around for a while, a busy few weeks.

They're gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI agree, I just love seeing them out there
DeleteYou obviously do not suffer from slugs and snails where you are, here those Hosta's would be in shreds. lol

ReplyDeleteThey really are pretty, and that hosta is pretty too!
ReplyDeleteI've always liked hosta and for the longest time couldn't get them to grow. Not sure what made these decide to thrive
DeleteThey are the most beautiful color! WOW!
ReplyDeleteYour yard is looking mighty fine.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
Parts of it aren't too bad but then there are other parts that need a lot of work
DeleteI wonder if Siberian and Japanese irises are the same? (Roger's mom and grandma always just called irises Flags) Whether or not they are one and the same, these sure are beautiful. I think your photos would make such a lovely painting. I love hostas too.
ReplyDeleteThey are absolutely perfect, right where they are. They really make a stunning statement as a group.
ReplyDeleteMaybe if they start getting too spead out I'll thin them out again and move them to other parts of the yard but for this year I'm happy with the way they are looking
DeleteThey are lovely. The Hosta look great too!
ReplyDeleteWOW!! Love those iris.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend ~ FlowerLady
Ann, your irises are beautiful and your hosta must love being planted right there by the rain drain. That looks like the perfect spot. It should grow huge there. Hope you are having a lovely day.
